摘要： A highly effective solid cold working lubricant may be deposited on a metal surface from an aqueous solution/dispersion that contains ethoxylated alcohols with at least 18 carbon atoms per alcohol and lithium, calcium, and/or sodium salts of fatty acids. Optional preferred ingredients include inorganic boron containing compounds, ethoxylated castor oil, ionomers, and a corrosion inhibitor that includes azoles. No prior conversion coating, such as is generally used under conventional organic soap lubricants, is needed with this type of solid film.

摘要： A high performance lubricant to extend the life of tooling to punch holes and shear metals especially thick steel members. The lubricant, due to its modified viscosity, remains on the tool during the process allowing it to provide the necessary coating to reduce the friction developed. Most punching processes mount the tool vertical and the work is held below the tool. Lubricant is applied to the tool prior to punching. A problem with lubricants presently used is the viscosity is so low the lubricant runs off the tool prior to the punching process rendering the lubricant ineffective. The thixotropic index of the lubricant is controlled by addition of fumed silica to provide the proper viscosity to keep the lubricant on the tool and then during the punching process the viscosity is reduced sufficiently by the shear energy applied between the tool and work to allow the lubricant to flow in the shear area thereby providing maximum lubrication between the tool and the work.

摘要： In a miniature electric motor with reduction worm gear unit, a reduction worm gear unit is mounted on a motor portion and an output of the motor portion is subjected to a speed reduction through the unit. In lubricant for lubricating worm gears of the unit, fine silica grain is added and mixed to base oil, and a content of the fine silica grain is in a range of about 3 to about 10 wt. %. It is possible to always maintain reverse rotation proof while always keeping a desired gear transmission efficiency in a wide environmental temperature range. As a result, it is possible to miniaturize a motor and also to increase a life cycle number to prolong service life of the motor. The motor may be applied to an electric window device of an automotive vehicle.
