摘要： Multiport valve with outlets transverse to the inlet useful as a coker switch valve. A sealed lower sleeve assembly provides semi-trunnion ball support. An upper part of the outlet seat recesses is formed in the bonnet, and a lower part in the valve body, which together bias a resilient member to load the seats, independently of end connections. Before bonnet assembly, when the ball is rotated to face a body outlet, there is sufficient space in the seat recesses to insert the seat, slide the seat onto the ball, and then insert the resilient member. When all the seats and resilient members are in place, engagement of the bonnet biases the upper part of the resilient members to load the seat. In valve operation, an enlarged ball outlet bore can straddle two outlet ports and maintain process media flow during switching. Also, methods of assembling, operating, and servicing the valve.

摘要： The liquid feed nozzle assemblies for a circulating fluid bed reactor comprise (i) a throttle body premixer to combine liquid feed with atomization steam to form a liquid feed/steam mixture comprising gas bubbles in liquid; (ii) a conduit connected to the premixer and to a discharge nozzle to convey a flow of the liquid/steam mixture created by the premixer to the nozzle body; (iii) a discharge nozzle connected to the flow conduit to shear the liquid feed/steam mixture to create liquid feed droplets of reduced size and (iv) a disperser at the outlet of the discharge nozzle to provide a spray jet of liquid feed having an increased surface area relative to a cylindrical jet. The nozzle assembles are particularly useful in fluid coking units using heavy oil feeds such a tar sands bitumen.

摘要： A method is provided for the pyrolysis or thermolysis of a fluid or fluidized starting material in a tube bundle reactor including a plurality of heatable reactor tubes. The method includes feeding the starting material to the tube bundle reactor at one end by at least one supply line; wherein the supply line has several pressure reduction units which enable a positive pressure before the starting material is introduced into individual reactor tubes of the tube bundle reactor and a negative pressure inside the reactor tubes. The pressure reduction units control a substantially equal inflow of the starting material into individual reactor tubes and the reactor tubes are heated to a decomposition temperature of the starting material in at least one primary section. The starting material is pyrolyzed or thermolyzed and a pyrolysis or thermolysis product is obtained.

At a location opposite the feed inlet, the side wall of the lower portion is angled upwardly at an opposing wall angle relative to the central axis, wherein the feed inlet angle is less than or equal to the opposing wall angle. Method also is provided for delayed coking using the coke drum assembly disclosed herein.

摘要： A pyrolysis injector includes a feeder unit with a first inlet for particulate polymeric material and a second inlet for oil, wherein said first inlet and said second inlet lead to a reservoir arranged for mixing said particulate polymeric material and oil into oil-wet particulate polymeric material, and with one or more feeding auger arranged in a feeder gutter portion of said reservoir, the feeder gutter portion leading to a narrowing pipe portion about an end portion of the one or more feeder auger arranged for compacting the oil-wet particulate polymeric material for form a compacted oil-wet particulate polymeric material, the narrowing pipe portion leading to a compacting pipe which is arranged for feeding the compacted oil-wet particulate polymeric material to a third inlet of a pyrolysis reactor, the pyrolysis reactor provided with at least one first outlet for pyrolysis fluids in gaseous form, one or more first heating elements arranged for heating the reservoir with the oil-wet particulate polymeric material (and oil) present therein, and for boiling off water and/or chemicals, one or more second heating elements arranged on the compacting pipe with the compacted oil-wet particulate polymeric material and arranged for pre-heating the compacted oil-wet particulate polymeric material before injection to the third inlet of the pyrolysis reactor, and wherein the second inlet for oil is arranged for receiving a part of an intermediary pyrolysis fluid of the pyrolysis fluids in a condensed liquid state back to the reservoir.
