The telescopic hollow spindle has a lubricant passage channel in which at least one check valve is arranged on the inlet side. The telescopic hollow spindle alternately carries out setting strokes of different lengths that increase or reduce the length of the spindle. The setting strokes are coordinated with each other so that with a setting stroke of the telescopic hollow spindle increasing the length of the spindle, a preset amount of lubricant displaced by the movement of the plunger enters the lubricant passage channel through the opening check valve.

    • An ergonomically improved spray bottle grip includes a top wall surrounded by a perimeter wall that defines a first recess on the underside of the top wall. One or more shoulders projecting inwardly from the perimeter wall allow the first recess to receive a finger flange on the spray bottle in a snap fit manner. A pair of arms extend downwardly from the perimeter wall and terminate in a pair of finger grips. The finger grips may include upward portions and ribs to help prevent the user's fingers from slipping off of the finger grip. The top wall includes a closed central aperture which is dimensioned to telescopingly receive a nozzle on the spray bottle. In use, the grip is placed over the spray bottle such that the nozzle projects through the aperture. The top wall is then pressed downwardly along the spray bottle until it contacts the finger flange on the spray bottle. Thereafter, the user pushes downwardly on the finger grips while simultaneously pushing upward against the bottom of the spray bottle, such that a measured dose of the bottle contents is emitted as a spray. In another embodiment, the spray bottle grip may be integrally attached to a reciprocating member on the spray bottle.

    • This invention provides a condiment dispensing apparatus of economically and effectively dispensing condiment by controlling condiment pump activation and opening and closing of the dispensing outlet without requiring electronic circuitry. The apparatus employs pneumatic devices to open and close the dispensing outlet and to drive the condiment pump and a mechanical mechanism to synchronize pump activation and opening and closing of the dispensing outlet. In a specific embodiment, a pneumatically driven valve is coupled to the pump for activating the pump after it is moved to at least partly open the dispensing outlet during a valve opening step and for deactivating the pump after it is moved to partly close the dispensing outlet during a valve closure step. The delay in pump activation during the valve opening step and the lead in pump deactivation during the valve closure step avoid excessive pressure buildup to ensure smooth operation of the apparatus in dispensing the condiment in a controlled manner.

    • A fluid dispensing system is disclosed herein, the system including a container adapted to hold a material, the container having a first recess positioned on an outer surface of the container and a passageway extending into the container, the passageway positioned within the recess of the container. A pump assembly is provided which is adapted to dispense fluid from the container. The pump assembly is further adapted to engage the passageway of the container and having a storage position wherein the pump assembly is disposed substantially within the recess. In selected embodiments, a mounting bracket is provided which is adapted to support the container. The mounting bracket may include a base, a column extending upwardly from the base, and an upper member which may be pivotably mounted to the column. In some embodiments, a boss and detent may be provided so that the boss engages the detent upon placement of the container within the mounting bracket. The boss and detent are adapted to inhibit relative movement between the mounting bracket and container. A pump actuator may be provided, the pump actuator including an upper portion flexibly attached to a lower portion, the lower portion operable to actuate the pump assembly and dispense fluid from the container.
