    • A liquid-dispensing structure includes: an outer cylinder with a one-way valve at its lower end to allow a liquid to flow into the outer cylinder; a hollow piston being slidable inside the outer cylinder and having a pair of liquid-tight portions formed with circular convex portions around its outer circumferential surface in positions apart in an axial direction; and an inner cylinder for dispensing a liquid, which reciprocates inside the outer cylinder so that the piston moves in a piston-sliding area of the inner cylinder having an opening through which the liquid flows. The opening is closed when the piston is at a lower position and is opened when the piston is at an upper position.

    • The invention relates to a metering pump comprising a pump barrel (1) housing a dose chamber (32) and control means that can be moved between a discharge position and a rest position. The inventive metering pump is characterised in that the control means comprise: a push rod (2); a piston (3) that can slide in relation to the push rod (2) and in relation to the pump barrel (1) all the while remaining in permanent contact with said two elements; and an elastically-deformable annular valve (4) that rests permanently against the push rod (2). The control means are moved between the rest position and the discharge position in two steps; the push rod (2) slides in relation to the piston (3) in the pump barrel; and subsequently the push rod (2) and the piston (3) slide jointly in the pump barrel (1) and discharge opening (42) is released.

    • An apparatus and method for mixing and injecting or applying a viscous material which is especially useful for mixing and applying a two part epoxy. The apparatus in its preferred form utilizes two uniformly heated holding tanks with auger feeds which each feed two synchronized variable ratio pumps having spring biased check valves which ensure positive closure of each valve.     • An assembly for securing and sealing a dispenser to a container having a flange surrounding an opening therein is provided. The assembly includes a dispenser sub-assembly having an outer body with an outer surface adapted to engage an inner surface of the opening so as to secure and seal the dispenser sub-assembly within the opening. A retaining collet having a downwardly extending skirt having a bottom portion extending radially outwardly is positioned to surround the flange. A decorative collar having a sleeve about its periphery is slideable through a path of movement over the retaining collet to an assembled position. The sleeve of the decorative collar deforms the bottom portion of the skirt of the retaining collet radially inwardly to a position under the flange of the container as the decorative collar is slid to the assembled position so as to maintain the decorative collar in the assembled position.
