    • A flip top closure has a tamper evident flap and is used on a container with a neck and an opening therein. the neck has an outer surface with retaining means for the closure thereon. The closure has two sections that are hinged to one another and with each section having a lip extending along an edge thereof. When the closures are in a closed position, the two lips form a continuous line of contact with one another and a flap extends across the line of contact. The flap is connected to one section by ultrasonic spot welding. The flap is severable from either or both sections. When the closure is opened the flap separates from one of the sections.

    • A lid device for a minnow bucket for converting a conventional bucket into a minnow bucket. The lid device for a minnow bucket includes a panel having a top side, a bottom side and a peripheral edge. The panel has a diameter generally equal to an inner diameter of a bucket. A peripheral lip is coupled to and extends upwardly from the peripheral edge. The peripheral lip has a bottom edge having a slot extending upwardly therein and adapted for receiving a top edge of the bucket, the panel has an opening therein. A door selectively opens and closes the opening. The door has a shape generally identical to a shape of the opening. The door is hingedly, coupled to the panel such that the door may be moved between an open and a closed position. The door has a plurality of holes extending therethrough.

    • The invention relates to a beverage can with a press-in closure (2) whereby a lid area is surrounded by a separating line (3) which can be pressed down into a partial area by means of an actuation tab (4) of a grip lug (7) that is fixed to the lid (5) by means of a riveted joint (6), and forming a hole (8) in the interior of the can for pouring out said beverage. According to the invention, the hole (8) can be covered with a perforated external lid (9) which is also attached to the lid (5) by means of a riveted joint (6). When the grip lug (7) is actuated, the actuation tab (4) of the grip bracket (7) gets inserted into the perforated external cover (9) by means of a groove (10). The invention prevents insects such as wasps or the like from penetrating into the beverage can.

    • A splash-proof beverage lid closure (20) for a travel mug has a lid member (30) in the form of a peripheral rim with a raised pouring lip (32) on one side and a disengagement tab (34) on the other. A circular sidewall (36) integrally distends from the lid member, and an inclined recessed disc (44) is integrally formed within a lower portion of this circular sidewall. The disc has a liquid egress aperture (46), an alignment slot (48), a pair of parallel snap-in clasp slots (50) and a disc vent hole (52) therein. A blocking barrier slide (58), complete with an upright thumb actuating bar (60) on the upper portion of the slide, includes an alignment tab (62) along with a pair of extended snap-in clasps (64) on a bottom portion of the slide and a slide vent hole (68) therethrougth. The slide snap-in clasps captivate the slide onto the disc. When the slide is manually urged away from the liquid egress aperture the slide vent hole aligns with the disc vent hole, an unobstructed flow of liquid is permitted through the aperture, and, when the blocking barrier slide is slid over the egress aperture the vent holes are misaligned and closed, forming a splash-proof closure preventing liquid from sloshing from the lid closure during transportation and limiting spillage when a travel mug having the lid closure attached is inadvertently tipped over.

    • An automatically sealing lid assembly (10) includes a cap portion (12) selectively coupled to a cup (16) so as to cover a mouth (14) of the cup (16). The cap portion (12) has a sip hole (34) and a vent hole (36) integrally formed therein. The cap portion (12) also has a disk portion (42) rotatably coupled thereto between a sealed configuration and an unsealed configuration. The disk portion (42) has a sip plug (52) and a vent plug (54). The sip plug (52) seals the sip hole (34) in the sealed configuration. Likewise, the vent plug (54) seals the vent hole (36) in the sealed configuration. The cap portion (12) and the disk portion (42) have a biasing member assembly (62) operatively coupled therebetween. The biasing member assembly (62) biases the disk portion (42) to the sealed configuration. The biasing member assembly (62) further includes an actuating surface (80) for receiving an application of force by a user thereby selectively disposing the lid assembly (10) to the unsealed configuration.
