    • A box-cording apparatus used to cord up a packing box. The apparatus comprises a frame means having a base frame and support members slidably installed thereon, a driving means for moving the support members back and forth, and a frame rotating means having a shaft and a control means for the rotation of the shaft. The support members are bound together with parts of the box loaded on the base frame during the cording work and then pulled and received in the base frame, getting free from the corded parts of the box.

    • A knotter mechanism, primarily for use in crop baling machines, with an improved billhook and actuation means therefor is disclosed. The billhook is rotatably mounted on the knotter frame and includes a fixed jaw having an elongate shaft and a movable jaw with an integral heel portion is pivotally fixed to the fixed jaw whereby pivotable of the moveable jaw opens and closes the billhook. An actuation means in the form of a rotatable roller is mounted on the knotter frame adjacent the billhook on an axis of rotation perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fixed jaw shaft. As the billhook rotates, the heel portion of the moveable jaw periodically engages the roller, resulting in selective opening and closing of the billhook.

    • A method is disclosed for introducing material such as cement into sacks of the valve type which are positioned in a magazine adjacent a rotary packing means having a plurality of material filling spouts distributed thereabout and means to supply the material to the spouts. The method relates to positioning the sack magazine adjacent the rotary packing means in a manner such that the foremost sack is positioned adjacent the rotary path defined by the spouts while rotating the rotary packing means in a direction such that the spouts successively and repeatedly approach the bag carrying means in the general direction of rotation. The method further comprises orienting each filling spout relative to the rotary packing means and to the bag carrying means such that the spouts approach the general direction of the opening of the bag closest thereto and successively opening the mouth portion of the foremost bag thereby permitting each approaching spout to enter the opening of the bag and to transport the bag away from its carrying means as the packing means continues to rotate. The cement material is introduced from the filling spout into the bag as it is positioned about the spout. A novel apparatus is disclosed for practicing the inventive method.

    • The invention discloses a method and a tool for exact metering and volumetric filling of finely divided dry powder medicament doses into preformed containers, whereby the doses and containers are adapted for administration by inhalation using a dry powder inhaler (DPI). A filling tool illustrating the invention includes at least one receptacle (10). The shape and size of a receptacle may vary depending on the size and mass of the powder load to be metered. A stretched woven filter (106) is positioned between the second opening of the receptacle (10) and a suction nozzle (13), using flexible seals at joints to stop air and powder leakage. The shape may be circular or elliptical, the wideness and depth, i.e. the volume, is adapted to the intended load and the method of filling and unloading.
