    • A vehicle support system for maintaining a vehicle in an upright position. The support system includes a base plate attached to a side surface and first and second mounting blocks attached to the base plate. Pivotably mounted between the first and second mounting blocks is a shaft to which a support leg and ratchet gear are fixedly mounted. A slot is formed in an upper body portion of the second mounting block which laterally extends over the ratchet gear. Mounted in the slot is a plunger and a biasing spring which downwardly biases the plunger such that a lower side surface thereof rides along an exterior side surface of the ratchet gear to allow the support leg to pivot, from an initial position, in a first direction along a first plane generally orthogonal to the side surface of the vehicle. Outwardly projecting faces formed along the exterior side surface of the ratchet gear engage the plunger to prevent the support leg from pivoting in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, along the plane. Retraction of a cable, coupled to the plunger, lifts the plunger, against the downward bias of the biasing spring, out of engagement with the ratchet gear such that a spring force produced by a return spring coupled between the second mounting block and the shaft causes the support leg to pivot in the second direction until returning to the initial position.

    • A bicycle balance training apparatus for attachment to a bicycle is disclosed. The bicycle balance training apparatus is used for training a rider to ride a bicycle such as a two wheeler. The apparatus has a support structure, a post disposed on the support structure and a bracket cooperating with the post and with a bicycle frame to which the support structure is removably attached, a strut disposed on the support structure and removably and adjustably attachable to a flywheel axle and to a bicycle axle for positioning and for supporting the support structure and a pair of flywheels rotatably attached to the support structure in a linearly spaced relationship with respect to each other. The pair of flywheels are electrically driven by the pair of drive wheels coupled to a motor with a belt and cooperating with a power source. The pair of drive wheels directly engage the pair of flywheels. When in use, the pair of flywheels are positioned to straddle a wheel of the bicycle disposed therebetween the flywheels without the pair of flywheels contacting the ground. The pair of flywheels create a gyroscopic effect to provide stabilization and balance control when the bicycle is ridden.

    • An all terrain vehicle with a foot-shifted manual transmission and a full platform-style footrest. The all terrain vehicle has a chassis carrying a straddle-type seat which is sufficiently narrow to be straddled by a rider. A laterally extending footrest is provided on each side of the chassis. The manual transmission includes a foot-operable shift lever located on one side of the chassis adjacent the footrest for shifting the transmission among a plurality of forward gears. The footrest is generally rectangular, having generally horizontal heel and toe portions, and the shift lever is positioned at approximately the same height as the heel portion. The toe portion is positioned lower than the heel portion, permitting a rider to depress the shift lever to a position lower than the heel portion of the footrest to downshift the transmission, and permitting the rider to insert his toe in between the toe portion of the footrest and the shifting lever to move the lever upwards to upshift the transmission. The platform is configured and arranged so as to prevent a toe of a rider's shoe from extending therethrough, however, thus providing full protection of the foot from below. The footrest includes a cleat formed integrally with the platform, the cleat having an upper surface positioned higher than the heel portion of the footrest. The cleat defines the forward edge of the heel portion and the rearward edge of the toe portion of the footrest, provides good foot heel location on the footrest and provides an edge about which the rider's foot may pivot during shifting.
