摘要： The rear combination lamp is set closer to the storage box by providing left and right pairs of bulbs, and bulbs forming left and right access openings for performing maintenance of the bulbs on the lower box, and closing the access openings with lids respectively. Since maintenance work of the bulbs can easily be made from the inside of the storage box and the rear combination lamp may be set closer to the storage box, the rear portion of the vehicle may be formed compact in configuration even when a large rear combination lamp is disposed rearward of a large storage box. Therefore, the width or the entire length of the rear portion of the vehicle body is not increased, and thus the appearance and operability of the vehicle may be improved.

The device has one or more bicycle carrier channels to secure one or more bicycles, and a clamp assembly which can be oriented in a desired position in order to perform maintenance or repair on another mounted bicycle. If the clamp assembly is not in use, additional bicycles may be transported by removing the clamp assembly, and attaching a bike transport assembly which includes additional bike carrier channels. Enhanced structural support is provided on the support assembly of the device to ensure a strong and rigid connection with the hitch assembly of a vehicle. The clamp assembly is adapted to receive various sized components of a bicycle, and can be rotatably oriented with ease.

The assembly includes at least one mount attachable to the vehicle, and a load-carrying support member coupled to the mount and configured to support the recreational equipment adjacent the vehicle. The securing apparatus includes a strap adapted to extend at least partially around the recreational equipment, and a ratchet drive mechanism adapted to receive and grip one end of the strap. In one embodiment, the ratchet drive mechanism includes at least one drive actuator that is operable to grip successive portions of the strap and draw it tight around the recreational equipment.

摘要： A cargo carrier is readily configured to transport bicycles, skis and poles, snowboards, canoe paddles and other cargo through the use of a vertical frame into which various rods may be placed, at locations most suited for the specific cargo. One or more of the rods includes a strap and buckle which allows the strap to be adjusted for length. Intermediary along the strap various rings and spacers may be located to slidably engage both cargo and carrier. In use, the strap is used to encircle cargo and is held adjacent a support through a sliding retainer which is slipped onto the carrier. Prior to assembly of the carrier, the few components of the carrier are relatively two dimensional, so the carrier may be packaged, stocked and sold in compact, flat packaging.
