    • An integral solid tire is formed with an outer section and an inner foam section. The inner side portion of the outer section comprises a number of layers with one portion integrating to the inner portion of the outer section. When sulfur is added to the outer section for processing, the inner foam section is integrally formed in the inner of the outer section by means of heating and pressure process, and the inner foam section is integral with the other portion of the layers of the outer section. In other words, the inner foam section is integral with the outer section, this design has a low density at the center and gradually increases towards outside in a radius state which has a better shock absorption.

    • A bicycle wheel assembly includes a hub disposed coaxially in a metal rim. A spoke unit interconnects the hub and the metal rim. The metal rim defines a tire-retention groove to receive a foam tire therein. The foam tire has an inner section disposed in the groove of the metal rim, and an outer section that projects outwardly from the groove. A tire reinforcing unit is embedded within the foam tire, and includes a non-stretchable strap embedded in the inner section of the foam tire and disposed around the metal rim, and a plurality of angularly spaced apart rigid strings which extend radially from the non-stretchable strap into the outer section of the foam tire.

Since the tire bead rims “e” are repeatedly brought into pressing contact with the engaging rims “b” and released therefrom, the tire bead rims “e” snugly fit with the engaging rims “b”, so that the RFV value is considerably lowered and stable maneuverability during driving can be obtained unless the fitting state is subsequently changed.

The separable bead flange is formed to have a concave retaining ring engaging annular surface (25) which, in cross section has a finite radius of curvature (59) and the retaining ring is formed to have a separable bead flange engaging convex annular surface (23) which, in cross-section, has a finite radius of curvature (61). Each radius of curvature (59, 61) is constant throughout the respective engaging surfaces.

    • A wheel system for securely mounting a tire thereon. The assembly includes a wheel having a rim with radially outward extending slots. A tire with radially inward extending protuberances mates with the radially extending members for securely mounting the tire to the wheel. The mating of protuberances with the members limits radial deflection and rotational movement of the tire about the rim. Axial movement of the tire relative to the rim is limited by the inner surface of the sidewall of the tire abutting the ends of the radially extending slots. In one embodiment, the wheel is composed of material having elastic properties for absorbing shock.
