摘要： A device for transmitting information in the form of an electrical signal to at least one mechanism for giving a readout of the information, comprises a readout mechanism which has at least one symbol wheel which carries symbols on its circumference. A plurality of angularly spaced and radially extending actuating members are affixed to a drive shaft which rotates to move the actuating members in a first plane. The actuating members are divertible into a second plane parallel to the first plane by a switch arranged in the plane of movement of the actuators so as to selectively divert the actuating members into a second plane. The actuating members have individual symbols corresponding to the number of readout symbols and guide walls are provided for supporting the actuators and the switch, as well as a gear drive for a symbol wheel in the respective first and second planes. A relay is employed for sensing the symbol position of the symbol wheel and it is connected to the switch to energize the switch. Gear means are located in respective first and second planes in a position to be engaged by the actuating members upon rotation of the drive shaft in order to cause rotation and indexing of the symbol wheel.

摘要： An imprinter for a computer access terminal having a keyboard and a transaction key for entering data into said terminal in response to data entered on the keyboard. The imprinter includes a frame for securing the imprinter to the terminal and a plurality of digit amount wheels which are rotatably mounted in the frame for representing a multi-digit number like price, and including various codes. The imprinter also includes a pawl type indexing member for each digit amount wheel, which indexes the associated digit amount wheel one digit position each time the indexing member is actuated by an associated solenoid so that each digit amount wheel is successively indexed a predetermined number of digit positions corresponding to the associated digit entered on the keyboard upon actuation of the transaction key or an on-line imprint signal. When the amount and codes are set on the digit amount wheels, a roller type platen travels over an embossed type credit card and the digit amount wheels to print on a credit card voucher inserted in the terminal which can be operated on-line or off-line.

The end of one strip of multi-layer forms is positioned with the front edge of the next strip in aligned abutting relation. 摘要： A set of printing wheels with circumferentially spaced types and arresting recesses, can be set to digital printing positions by manual setting means. An axial row of spring biassed arresting pawls engages a row of the arresting recesses, and yield resiliently while the printing wheels are turned during setting to a selected number. The pawls have locking recesses cooperating with a locking bar extending at right angles to the direction of movement of the pawls to the arresting position. A carriage with a platen roller is manually moved out of an end position along a path over the printing wheels. The carriage is operatively connected with the locking bar so that the locking bar is ineffective in the end position of the carriage while the printing wheels are set, and engages the locking recesses in the pawls when the carriage moves out of the end position so that the wheels cannot be displaced by the platen roller during printing.

摘要： The characters on the periphery of a rotatable marking wheel are selectively rotated into marking position by a remotely controlled actuating mechanism. The marking wheel has a ratchet portion with a ratchet tooth for each character. The actuating mechanism includes a reciprocating slide with an actuating pawl pivotally connected thereto. For each forward stroke of the slide the actuating pawl engages a tooth and rotates the marking wheel and moves the adjacent character into marking position. A depending finger on the slide also moves into overlying relation with the adjacent tooth to prevent the wheel from rotating through too large an angle to move the adjacent character beyond the marking position. A centering and locking pawl is engaged by the slide on the reverse stroke and moved into engagement with another tooth on the ratchet to center the character in the marking position and maintain the wheel in that position.
