摘要： A ribbon cartridge includes: a winding-side cylinder part that guides an ink ribbon and into which a winding shaft is inserted when the ribbon cartridge is installed in a cartridge installation part; a first ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on a downstream side of the winding-side cylinder part in a feeding direction of the ink ribbon; and a second ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on the downstream side of the ribbon guide in the feeding direction. The first ribbon guide is on an inner side of the second ribbon cartridge with respect to a guide imaginary line connecting the winding-side cylinder part and the second ribbon guide to each other when seen from a front side of the ribbon cartridge in an installation direction.

The card transport includes a first belt, a first motor configured to drive the first belt to feed a card along a processing axis, a second belt, and a second motor configured to drive the second belt to feed a card along the processing axis. The print unit includes an ink jet print head and a gantry. The ink jet print head is configured to perform a print operation simultaneously on a card supported in a print position on the first belt and on a card supported in a print position on the second belt. The gantry is configured to move the ink jet print head along a fast scan axis that is parallel to the processing axis and a slow scan axis that is perpendicular to the processing axis.

摘要： A production installation (21) produces book blocks (22) in parallel from digital prints on basic sheets (24). Each book block has “n” book sheets aligned through rows (46) and columns (44) and each basic sheet has “m” book sheets (43) equal to the number “m” of book blocks to be produced. Under the control of an electronic unit (56), a point bonding group (51) dispenses adhesive strokes (61) on the basic sheets across the rows and/or the columns, a stacking group (52) stacks the basic sheets and forms a basic block (62) stabilized by the point bonds, while a separation group (53) cuts and separates the book blocks from the basic block along the rows and the columns for following treatments. The basic sheets have machine-readable basic codes (68) and the electronic control unit actuates the point bonding group, the stacking group and the separation group on the basis of information derived from the basic codes.

摘要： A compact, easy-to-maintain printing apparatus features both receipt printing and journal printing and is capable of protecting data. Receipt printer 70 and journal printer 60 are mounted on a bottom housing 31 of the printing apparatus. Journal printer 60 comprises a separate chassis 65 and is removably mounted on a bottom housing 31. Two top housings 71 and 61 are provided, one hinged to the bottom housing 31, the other hinged to the chassis 65. The journal printer 60 is mounted behind the receipt printer 70 and the pivot for both covers is located near the rearward end of the bottom housing 31. When opened, top housing 71 for the receipt printer 70 rotates over journal printer 60, thereby assuring a wide open area above receipt printer 70. Top housing 61 of the journal printer 60 can be locked to bottom housing 31 by a keyed locking mechanism 81, thereby preventing improper operation of the journal printer 60 during maintenance.

摘要： A printing apparatus of modular construction includes a printing mechanism with a pivotally mounted printing head, a continuous form feed part and an individual form feed part. To provide a compact construction in which the printing operation can be viewed by the operator, the individual form feed part is constructed as a base unit so that the individual form is fed into the apparatus and transported horizontally. The printing mechanism and continuous form feed part are positioned above the base unit. As a result, with the apparatus mounted on a table, printing on the printing base of the continuous form feed part takes place below the eye level of the operator. To insert the continuous form, the continuous form feed part can be pivoted away from the printing mechanism. In addition, the printing mechanism and the continuous form feed part can be pivoted relative to the base unit to gain access to the path of the individual forms on the base unit.
