摘要： A cutting device includes a fixed blade and a movable blade that slides with respect to the fixed blade during cutting, the movable blade having a first end that engages with the fixed blade at cutting start and a second end that engages with the fixed blade at cutting end, an urging member connected to the movable blade to urge the movable blade towards the fixed blade and a rotation of the movable blade in a first rotational direction, and a support for the movable blade having a shaft that rotates as the movable blade moves, the shaft having a center portion and first and second ends rotatably connected to the movable blade, wherein points of connection of the first and second ends are at locations that urge a rotation of the movable blade in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

The simplex and duplex printer includes: a thermal head for performing printing on a substrate; a rolled substrate supply section for supplying a continuous substrate, which is to be printed on one side, to the thermal head; and a sheet-like substrate supply section, provided below the rolled substrate supply section, for sequentially supplying sheet-like substrates, which are to be printed on both sides, to the thermal head. A reversing mechanism for reversing a sheet-like substrate which has been returned from the thermal head is disposed between the thermal head and the sheet-like substrate supply section. The reversing mechanism is disposed just below the rolled substrate supply section.

摘要： A system and method are provided for recovering from print assembly failure in a printer with printed medium assembly capabilities. The method generates a first print set including a plurality of physical medium sheets, and stores the first print set of a first interim stacker. A second print set is generated including a plurality of physical medium sheets. Sheets are accessed sheets from the first interim stacker and assembled with sheets from the second print set, generating a final print set with a plurality of sheets in a first order. The final print set is stored in an output stacker. In the event of a first print set failure, first print set replacement sheets are generating. In one aspect, generating the final print set includes directly merging first print set replacement sheets (bypassing the interim stacker) with sheets from the second print set.
