摘要： A coated filament for use in additive manufacturing includes a base polymer layer formed of a base polymer material and a coating polymer layer formed of a coating polymer material. At least the coating polymer material is susceptible to dielectric heating in response to electromagnetic radiation, thereby promoting fusion between adjacent beads of coated filament that are deposited during the additive manufacturing process. Specifically, when electromagnetic radiation is applied to an interface area between two adjacent beads of the coated filament, the polymer coating layer melts to diffuse across the interface area, thereby preventing formation of voids. The base polymer material and the coating polymer material of the coated filament also may have similar melting points and compatible solubility parameters to further promote fusion between beads.

摘要： A hollow fiber membrane is formed by embedding a braid having a spiral open weave of monofilaments only, to avoid a “whiskering” problem. The open weave is characterized by contiguous, circumferential, rhomboid-shaped areas of polymer film separated by monofilaments. When the braid is supported on a plasticized PVA cable having a scalloped periphery, the braid can be infiltrated with membrane polymer which, when coagulated, embeds the braid positioning it around the lumen. The embedded spiral weave, free of any circumferentially constricting monofilament, allows the membrane to be biaxially distensible. The membrane has “give” not only in the axial or longitudinal direction but also in the radial direction. “Give” in the radial direction permits soiled membranes to be backwashed under higher pressure than in a comparable braid which is not radially distensible.

In one aspect, the carpet includes: a primary backing which has a face and a back surface; a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing and extending from the face of the primary backing and exposed at the back surface of the primary backing; an adhesive composition backing; and an optional secondary backing adjacent to the adhesive backing. The method of making carpet includes extrusion coating the adhesive composition onto the back surface of a primary backing to form the adhesive composition backing. The method of recycling carpet can recover one or more polymeric carpet components.

摘要： A pipe lining method is provided for simply positioning a flange of a branch pipe liner bag to a branch pipe opening of a main pipe in a short period of time, and preventing the branch pipe liner bag from having a locally insufficient strength. A branch pipe liner bag is everted and inserted into a branch pipe with a fluid pressure. With the branch pipe liner bag pressed onto the inner wall of the branch pipe, a hardenable resin impregnated in the branch pipe liner bag is hardened to line the branch pipe. Then, a main pipe liner bag is everted and inserted into a main pipe with a fluid pressure. With the main pipe liner bag pressed onto the inner wall of the main pipe, a hardenable resin impregnated in the main pipe liner bag is hardened to line the main pipe. The fluid pressure acting inside the main pipe liner bag is adjusted such that a portion of the hardenable resin impregnated in the main pipe liner bag is oozed out. The oozed hardenable resin is introduced into a clearance space, and hardened therein.
