    • Centering of an injection heating cylinder and screw driver is provided even after assembly, using an electric injection mechanism with height adjustment for the screw driver. A front plate is provided with an injection heating cylinder having a screw installed inside at the front middle and a rear plate is provided with are electric motor for injection-driving. The plates are affixed to an installation member. The front and rear plates are linked by guide bars installed between them. The screw driver is inserted into the guide bar and movably disposed between the plates. A driving mechanism connected to an electric motor is composed of a ball screw shaft and a ball nut member, and is installed over the screw driver and the rear plate. A centering member slidably supports the screw driver 10 and, moreover, provides height adjustment, and is installed at the sides of the screw driver.

    • A mold clamping apparatus of an injection molding machine is equipped with a drive mechanism for opening, closing, and clamping a mold. The drive mechanism includes a first drive mechanism portion including a first drive motor portion and a first ball-screw mechanism portion and advancing and retracting a movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation; a second drive mechanism portion including a second drive motor portion and a second ball-screw mechanism portion and pressing a pressure platen in order to effect high-pressure mold clamping operation; and a clutch mechanism for connecting the pressure platen to the movable platen in a pressure applicable manner when the movable platen is located at a mold close position. The first drive mechanism portion advances and retracts the movable platen in order to effect high-speed mold opening/closing operation. When the movable platen has reached the mold close position (when the mold has been closed), the clutch mechanism connects the pressure platen to the movable platen. Subsequently, the second drive mechanism portion advances the pressure platen in order to apply pressure to the movable platen via the clutch mechanism, thereby effecting high-pressure mold clamping.

    • A closing unit for an injection moulding machine has a movable closing die and a fixed matching die designed as clamping dies for an injection mould, as well as several hydraulic cylinders mounted on the fixed matching die to apply a closing force. A servo-drive allows the drawbars to swivel around their longitudinal axes up to a first and second angular position. A first locking device arranged on the drawbars along a first section A of the drawbars co-operates with second locking device arranged on the movable closing die. In the first angular position of the drawbars, the locking devices allow the movable closing die to move axially with respect to the drawbars, and in a second angular position of the drawbars they transmit the required closing force.

    • An injection molding machine with a vertically operating clamp mechanism is provided with a pair of locking devices on the upper movable platen to lock the locking rods for high tonnage clamping forces. Each locking device uses spring biased actuating rods to simultaneously lock two locking rods to the movable platen in an always “on” arrangement. A power on actuator is provided to release the locking device for raising and lowering the movable platen. A vertical ladder frame is provided for guiding the movable platen when it is raised or lowered. Additionally, a lift mechanism is provided for a rotary table carrying the lower mold halves.

    • In a mold-closing unit a device for variably fixing the spacing between the stationary mold carrier and moveable mold carrier is provided, which device comes into operational connection with a guide element to fix a set spacing. Associated with the moveable mold carrier is a fixing device which, on actuation, fixes the moveable mold carrier in its respective position. The drive for moving the moveable mold carrier itself alters the spacing along a portion of the guide element when the fixing device is actuated and the clamping device is not operationally connected. Drive has at least two parts which are operationally connected with one another, of which one part is supported on a support element and the other part is connected to the moveable mold carrier. One of the two parts of the drive also extends in linear fashion in the closing direction during the closing movement as a linear movement means for the moveable mold carrier.
