    • A reusable countertop mold in accordance with the present invention includes at least one mold sheet, but generally a plurality of mold sheets are required to extend about a predetermined portion of a periphery of a floor mounted cabinet. The mold sheet is dimensioned and configured to ultimately form a countertop having a predetermined configuration with predetermined dimensions. The mold sheet includes a relatively thin base portion and a wall portion perpendicular to the base portion. The reusable countertop mold further includes a plurality of fastener recesses in an inner side portion of the base portion, the recesses ultimately allowing fasteners to pass through a countertop substrate and into the floor mounted cabinet, after the base portion has been inserted between the countertop substrate and the cabinet. After a countertop forming material has hardened upon the countertop substrate and the mold sheet, the base portion of the mold sheet is slidably removed from between the countertop substrate and the cabinet, thereby allowing the reusable countertop mold to be reused for another countertop forming project.

    • A fully contoured three dimensional toy figure made of at least two figure parts, and a toy apparatus and a method for molding the toy figure are disclosed. The figure parts are molded in respective mold cavities with receptacles, e.g., holes, in a side thereof and selected parts are joined together with simple connectors inserted into aligned receptacles of adjacently positioned parts. The receptacles may simply be blind holes in one side of the figure parts, and the connectors may be simple rods, bars or tubes which may have structure that assists in engaging the walls of the holes. The invention allows small children to make fully-contoured toy figures easily without having to use adhesives or typical fasteners to attach the figure parts together. Child-safe plastic materials such as Plasti-Goop.RTM. may be used as the plastic molding material. Also disclosed is a toy mold for use by young children in making molded figures and figure parts with a fitting attached thereto, whereby the figure or figure part may be attached to an accessory such as a hair clip, or play jewelry such as a ring or bracelet, or to another figure or figure part etc.

    • Disclosed is a new method for making a component having interior and exterior threads. Such method includes the steps of providing a thread-forming apparatus having first and second circumferential threaded portions defining a space between them. Such space is filled with a flowable material, e.g., hot plastic, which is permitted to solidify and form the component. The apparatus and the component are then separated from one another by rotating such apparatus so that both threaded portions unscrew from the component. The finished component has interior and exterior threads which are simultaneously formed and substantially free of flashing. The new thread-forming apparatus has a first threaded portion and a pocket. A plug is in the pocket and has a second threaded portion spaced from the first threaded portion.
