    • Method and system for the weighing of sheets (6) of wood material on a sheet forming line, on which line the sheets are carried on a conveyor from a sheet forming apparatus and cooled down in a cooling turn gear comprising a cooling wheel (3) provided with radial supporters (5). The sheets (6) are weighed using a weighing system (8) which has been fitted in the cooling turn gear and which weights the sheets (6) when they are turned to an upright position or at least to a nearly upright position. The invention makes it possible to leave out the conveyor weight meter from the press line, thus allowing the press line to be made shorter. The weighing accuracy is substantially better than in a conventional conveyor weight meter solution because only the sheet itself is weighed instead of weighing the relatively heavy conveyor together with the light sheets on it.

    • In a process for producing fibrous mats as a starting material for compression moulded articles, fiberized waste materials are mixed with thermoplastic and/or thermoset or thermosetting binders, the mixture is spread onto an air-permeable conveyor belt to give a first fleece layer, on said fleece layer is loosely placed a polyester fabric or lattice with at least partly multifilament threads, a mesh size between 4 and 7 mm and a thermoset or thermosetting finish, then a second fleece layer is spread onto the fabric or lattice and then the layers are compressed at elevated temperature and under pressure to give a transportable mat, from which individual moulded articles are produced by compression moulding at temperatures between 180.degree. and 220.degree. C., the polyester fabric undergoing thermal conditioning prior to its use at temperatures roughly corresponding to the mould temperature. In this way, during the forming of the mat to give a compression moulded article, there is no need for stabilizing layers above and below the mat and the moulded articles can be produced in a single-stage moulding process.

    • The apparatus is for the preparation of sheet materials containing resin, fibres and particulate material as a homogeneous mass. The apparatus has a continuously moving conveyor belt. The belt can be lined to protect the apparatus with a barrier material such as cellophane, and the homogeneous material is deposited on to it. A second layer of cellophane can cover the material before it is initially compacted or compressed under a nip roller. The material is further compacted under pressure from a train of reciprocating rollers moving up and down a length of the conveyor belt above a supporting plate to produce a uniform sheet of material. After complete compaction the material is cut, removed from the conveyor belt and cured.
