    • A container (12) for use with a tool (2) for installing fasteners of the type in which a part of the fastener is broken off during installation, the tool (2) having a body, the container (12) being for collecting broken-off fastener parts during operation of the tool, the container (12) comprising: attachment means (20, 21) for removably attaching the container (12) to the body (8) of the tool, the attachment means (20, 21) being resiliently biased into attachment with the body (8) by resilient biasing means; and one or more contact region (22, 23) for receiving manual pressure from a user, at least one of the said one or more contact regions (22, 23) being coupled to the attachment means (20, 21); wherein the resilient biasing means are such that the attachment means (20, 21) can be detached from the body of the tool by the user applying manual pressure on the said one or more contact regions (22, 23) thereby detaching the container (12) from the body of the tool (2). Also provided is a fastener installation tool (2) having such a container (12).

    • An actuating device for a dynamite gun includes a barrel member having a first tube slidably mounted to a second tube which is fixedly connected to the barrel member, a bar removably received in the second tube. The first tube has a first slot and a first enlarged hole, and the second tube has a second slot and a second enlarged hole, wherein the second slot is wider than the first slot. A function rod is movably received in a stepped hole defined transversely in the bar and has three sections with different outer diameters so as to extend through the first and the second slot. An actuating member pivotally disposed to the gun and has a recess defined in a top thereof so that if the actuating member is operated before the first tube is pushed rearwardly, the lower end of the function rod will be received in the recess and the gun does not function.

    • Apparatus for pneumatically stamping identifying impressions on a workpiece is provided. The apparatus includes a double-acting air cylinder having a hollow piston rod. An impact piston is provided inside the barrel formed inside the piston rod to, alternatively, seal an aperture in the piston or to travel inside the barrel in order to strike a plunger mounted in a plunger housing slidably supported by the leading end of the piston rod. A stamping head having an anvil adjacent to the stamping characters is provided to be mounted on the end of the plunger housing. In operation, compressed air is injected behind the piston rod thereby extending it toward the workpiece while compressed air is provided ahead of the impact piston to retain it in seated position on an aperture in the piston of the piston rod. When the stamping characters engage the workpiece, further advancement of the piston rod closes the source of compressed air ahead of the impact piston and opens venting apertures.
