摘要： A method for session management over a stateless protocol the steps of comparing a first plurality of identifiers contained in a first request with a second plurality of identifiers contained in a second request, and associating the second request with the first request when the comparison is successful. The method may also include the step of calculating a total statistical significance for the plurality of identifiers. The step of associating is performed only when the total statistical significance is greater than a predetermined required significance level. A token for session management over a stateless protocol is formed by digitally hashing a plurality of identifiers contained in a request. The token may have a total significance calculated from a statistical significance associated with each of the plurality of identifiers.

摘要： Method and apparatus are utilized in a system for distributing digital contents from a central server to a plurality of endpoint servers for further distribution to end users for automatically managing the digital assets of the endpoint servers. Each endpoint server is connected to a plurality of users over a communications network and operable to deliver digital information content to users on demand. Using a master content stored at the central server, the digital content of each endpoint is periodically and automatically refreshed based on an aggregate profile that reflects the preferences of the end-user population served by the endpoint server. The aggregate profile is generated from information received from the end users, including information submitted by the users or automatically generated feedback information relating to the users'on-line activities.

The visual display can also be part of a transcriptionist system. By providing data in a coded fashion, analysis can be easily conducted such that alerts, bioterror alerts (e.g. evolving symptom or trend information for anthrax or the like) can be rapidly and perhaps automatically identified, and acted upon such as in providing health care alerts or locationally oriented statistical analysis information. A central database reporting function to a central authority (e.g., to the CDC or law enforcement) can be included for terrorist and other event management.

The database management system includes a master database server (4), at least one workgroup server (315), and a plurality of workgroup user clients (310). The method creating a transaction in a local database resident on one of the workgroup user clients (310), entering the transaction into a transaction log resident on the workgroup user client (310), and creating a transaction file corresponding to the transaction in an outbox of said workgroup user client (310). Next, the transaction file is copied to an inbox identified to the workgroup user client (310) and updating the transaction file into a workgroup database (305) resident on the workgroup server (315). The workgroup database (305) includes a transaction log.
