摘要： There is disclosed a filtering method comprising using a filter-press-type device in the chambers whereof filtering means divide a compartment for material to be filtered from a filtrate-collecting compartment, compressing the possibly-washed material to be filtered by reducing the volume of the compartments for material to be filtered, discharging washing solute and filtrate which have passed through the filtering means, and dismantling said filter-press. The method makes use of filter means which are resistant and undistortable under the method conditions, and retains the filtering means in a relative position to the filtering chamber axis which is identical during all the filtering steps.

摘要： In a filter press wherein a plurality of recessed filter plates are so arranged that the plates can be assembled and separated, a pair of filter elements are provided to each filter plate, each of said elements comprising a filter cloth covering the front or rear bed of the plate, upper and lower cloth-supporting bars which are secured to the upper and lower edges of the cloth, and first and second pairs of flexible elongated driving media such as belts, chains or the like which are secured to said supporting bars. Below the plate, the pair of filter elements are trained over guiding rollers so as to come close to each other. The filter elements may be driven to travel through said driving media by driving means provided above the plate in such a manner that said upper and lower supporting bars are moved upwardly and downwardly in a seesaw-like manner. Cakes accumulated on the cloths may be discharged on the way of downward travels of the cloths very easily.

摘要： A plurality of substantially parallel filter plates are assembled as a unit and are locatable within a substantially rigid outer shell to provide a closed vessel. Either or both of the unit and the shell are movable relative to the other between a position wherein the unit is sealed within the shell to enable pressurised supply to the shell of medium to be filtered via the plates and a position wherein the unit is at least partially removed from the shell to enable discharge of resultant filter cake from the plates. To improve filter efficiency, reducing the number of plates required and the pressure required, and to allow the removal of the filter plate unit when encrusted with filter cake, substantially impermeable, flexible membrane is provided as a lining to the shell and an additional shell inlet/outlet port is provided and is connected to pressure medium supply means so that a space between the lining and the shell is inflatable by pressure medium for the duration of the filtration operation. Adjacent filter plates of the unit are separated by spacer means of elastomeric material, and the filter plates and the intervening spacer means are slidably mounted on bearers with mechanical means provided for releasably pressing the plates and the spacer means together. In this way additional cake compression can be achieved as well as easy release of dry cake at the end of each cycle.

摘要： A filter press comprises a support plate and a pressure plate and a set of chamber-type filter plates arranged therebetween. Each filter plate is provided with a cloth filtering barrier in the form of an endless belt which is supported by two rollers fastened to two opposite walls of the filter plate in such a manner that both runs of the belt extend on the side of a draining barrier of the filter plate. There are provided two bars for displacement of the filtering barriers extending along the set of the filter plates on opposite sides of the set, the bars having a drive for their concurrent transverse reciprocation, and there are also provided rods which are fixed to each endless belt to extend transversally thereof and movable along and together with the bars in transverse direction relative to the set of the filter plates.
