摘要： A door hinge mechanism for a live catch wire mesh animal cage trap and a method of mounting a cage trap door to a wire mesh animal cage trap using the door hinge mechanism is provided. The hinge mechanism includes a door mounting portion and a roof mounting portion joined by a body portion. The door mounting portion captures a laterally extending upper edge bar of the door and positions the door relative to a laterally extending wire bar on the roof to couple the door to the trap body and create a hinge axle therebetween. The roof mounting portion, which is spaced rearwardly from the door mounting portion by the body portion, secures the hinge mechanism to the roof of the trap body. When so mounted, the hinge mechanism provides greater trap stiffness at the hinge, improved rigidity of the hinge mechanism and trap door, and reduced friction in the hinge pivot.

摘要： An animal live trap assembly includes a housing that has an entry way extending therein. The housing is positionable in an area known to be occupied by small animals such that the entry way is accessible to the small animals. A door is hingedly coupled to the housing and the door is positionable between an open position or a closed position for alternatively opening or closing the entry way. A plate is hingedly positioned within the housing and the small animal stands on the plate when the small animal enters the housing. A release is movably coupled to the door for retaining the door in the open position. The release is urged into an unlocking position when the small animal stands on the plate thereby facilitating the door to be positioned in the closed position to trap the small animal in the housing.

摘要： An animal trap for safely trapping animals that may be safely set with a single hand. The trap has a frame with an opening and a pair of doors that are pivotally affixed to the frame adjacent to the opening. The doors are movable between an open and closed position. A rotating assembly is connected to each door through a corresponding linkage that are pivotally connected to the rotating assembly and one of the doors. The rotating assembly is rotatably affixed to the frame and rotatable between a set position and a tripped position about an axis. A spring biases one of the doors toward its closed position and when the rotating assembly is in its set position. A trigger mechanism is pivotally affixed to the frame and has a set position and a tripped position, rotating the trigger mechanism will trip the trap.

摘要： An animal trap features entrance encouraging mechanism for urging an animal into an enclosure of the trap. The mechanism features a pushing unit pivotally supported outside the interior space of the enclosure adjacent an access-way that opens into same. The pushing unit is pivotal about an axis generally parallel to a plane of the access-way for movement between a withdrawn position in which the access-way is unobstructed and a working position in which the pushing unit substantially obstructs the access-way. An actuator coupled to the pushing unit is triggered by an animal detection device at an approach area outside the enclosure within a travel path followed by the pushing unit, whereby the pushing unit urges the animal toward and through the access-way into the interior space of the enclosure. A one way gate prevents exit of the trapped animal after return of the pushing unit to the withdrawn position.

摘要： A rodent trap includes a housing, a central separation mount, a top plate, first and second door members, and first and second trip levers. The central separation mount separates the housing into first and second traps. The first and second door members are attached to the housing to allow closure and opening of first and second entrances. When a rodent enters the rodent trap, the weight of the rodent on a first food tray causes the first trip lever to engage with the first door member such that the first door member closes the first entrance, thereby trapping the rodent inside the first trap. Similarly, the weight of the rodent on a second food tray causes the second trip lever to engage with the second door member such that the second door member closes the second entrance, thereby trapping the rodent inside the second trap.

摘要： A cage type animal trap having an enclosure with an animal access opening into a vacant interior sized to receive an animal to be trapped. The access opening is closed by a door that is movable from a closed to an opened position by an actuating mechanism having a flexible actuating member with one end secured to the door and the other end releasably held by a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism is configured to move the door to the opened position by tensioning the actuating member and, in response to a trigger mechanism, to release the second end of the actuating member and allow the door to move from the opened position to the closed position thereby trapping the animal in the animal enclosure. A door lock in abutment with the outer surface of the door prevents the door from being opened by a trapped animal. A part of the actuating mechanism is in engagement with the door lock when the door is closed such that the door lock is automatically disengaged when the actuating member is tensioned.
