    • A heater apparatus for a wind machine and particularly for heating a wind stream generated by the wind machine, the wind machine rotatably mounted upon a central tower. The generated air stream can be directed toward a target such as an orchard, vineyard or crop. The wind machine rotates upon a pinion attached to the wind machine. The pinion rotates within a housing, and the housing is immovably mounted to the central tower. The housing includes a pinion cavity, which receives the pinion. The pinion is rotatable within the housing, and the pinion is co-rotatable with the wind machine about a common axis of rotation upon the central tower. A manifold is formed within the pinion cavity, between the pinion and the housing and is further bounded by an upper seal and a lower seal. A fuel is receivable into the manifold, the fuel conducted into the manifold through a housing port. The housing port penetrates through the housing and is open to the manifold. The housing port conducts the fuel into the manifold. A pinion port that passes through the pinion conducts the fuel out of the manifold and to a burner mounted proximate the wind machine. The burner combusts the fuel to heat the wind stream.

Air is suctioned out by the blast fan at the bottom of the revolving platter, directed into the pipeline and, after being heated by the electrical heating tubes, into the heating device through the air intake holes in the top end.

    • An inactive gas is introduced into an organic material evaporation source to place a thin organic film material in the organic material evaporation source in an atmosphere having a relatively high pressure, and the temperature of the thin organic film material is increased up to a certain temperature. Then, the organic material evaporation source is evacuated to lower the pressure around the thin organic film material for thereby causing the thin organic film material to emit a vapor. Since no wasteful vapor is emitted from the thin organic film material, the thin organic film material is effectively utilized. Because the inactive gas acts as a heating medium, the temperature of the thin organic film material is increased at a high rate, and the thin organic film material is uniformly heated. When the temperature of the thin organic film material is lowered in an inactive gas atmosphere, it can be lowered at a high rate. The inactive gas is introduced directly into the organic material evaporation source by an on-off valve, the time required to evacuate the organic material evaporation source is reduced. A liquid thin organic film material may be heated by a heating medium in the organic material evaporation source, so that the liquid thin organic film material will not be heated to a temperature higher than the temperature of the heating medium, and hence will not suffer bumping due to a temperature overshooting.

    • The combination greenhouse cold frame apparatus includes two foldable side panels that cover two arched sides that have a plurality of arched vertical legs to provide a framework for the foldable side panels. The top frame connectors also have a U-shaper portion dimensioned to hold the foldable side panels in different stages of retraction. Each foldable side panel can independently or jointly be opened from a top in a downward direction or from a bottom in an upward direction completely or partially, thereby providing adjustable amounts of sunlight and ventilation for plants enclosed by the combination green house and cold frame apparatus.

A flow monitor is used to measure and regulate the flow of vaporized solid precursor material from a vaporization chamber to a deposition chamber. The flow monitor chokes the supply of vapor into deposition chamber to regulate vapor flow. To avoid condensation of the solid precursor material in the delivery lines or flow monitor, a controller is placed in a feed back loop to monitor the flow rate make adjustments to the amount of vapor available at the inlet of the flow monitor.

    • A heating system for a tower mounted wind machine is provided. The heating system includes a burner that is rotatably mounted on the tower, in the air stream of the wind machine. The burner receives a combustible fuel conducted through a rotatable manifold on the central tower. The wind machine is a conventional type, generating the air stream by the rotation of a propeller. The wind machine is received on the top of a central tower. The manifold also mounts to the central tower, proximate the wind machine. The manifold has an inner ring and an outer ring. The inner ring mounts in a fixed position to the central tower, and the outer ring circumferentially mounts on the inner ring. The outer ring is rotatable relative to the inner ring. The inner ring includes a fuel inlet, and the outer ring includes a fuel outlet. The burner combusts the fuel that is conducted through the manifold to heat the air stream. The outer ring is cooperatively rotatable about the wind machine with respect to the central tower and is maintained in a synchronous position with respect to the wind machine.

    • A device and a method are described for vaporizing and superheating a sterilizing agent. The sterilizing agent is brought to a first temperature and vaporized with the aid of a heated surface. The vapor is subsequently bought to a second, higher temperature and super heated by means of heating elements. A heater, having super heating channels and heating elements, is connected after a vaporizing chamber. The sterilizing agent is sprayed onto the heated surface, which is heated to the first temperature. The first temperature is lower than the surface temperature at which film boiling begins. The first temperature of the heated surface is sensed and converted into signals for controlling the heating elements for super heating. This sterilizing agent vapor is heated in a counter flow such that the first temperature is kept substantially constant by means of the second, higher temperature and by means of a flow of heat directed in the opposite direction to the flow of vapor.
