    • Modularized, superheated steam generators comprise a steam module (46), a thermocouple module (41), and an electrode module (45) assembled within a containment enclosure (66). The multi-stage steam module (46) comprises a plurality of first stage pressure vessels (77) surrounding and feeding a second stage pressure vessel (78). The steam module (46) is coaxially surrounded by insulation (48) disposed within a cylindrical shroud (72). The electrode module (45) radiantly heats the steam module with resistive heating elements (119). The thermocouple module (41) includes thermocouples monitoring first stage temperatures within and between pressure vessels (77). PLC computer SCADA software (600) operates the generators. Thermocouple data is analyzed to control heater temperatures, the water feeding system (340), and outputted steam temperature. PLC software (600) provides operating logic (602) establishing a start up subroutine (602), a ramp up subroutine (603), a steady state subroutine (605), and a shut down subroutine (606).

    • An apparatus for generating high temperature steam according to the present invention comprises a high pressure container including a hollow body having a certain volume and sealed shape and a vapor outlet formed at an upper or lower portion of the body for discharging vapor generated therein; a heat supply unit for supplying high temperature heat to the high pressure container; a water supply pump positioned at an outside of the high pressure container and supplying the high pressure container with water from an outside; a spray nozzle for spraying the water supplied from the water supply pump to the high pressure container; and a vapor discharge line connected to the outlet of the high pressure container to guide the vapor generated in the body.

    • This invention offers a new approach to steam generation, in that it will create steam in a dry chamber or cell, where there is no water level as with the common steam boiler. The steam cell only heats a small spray of water that is injected over super heated coils surrounding an inverted high conductive metal canister. The coils can be heated with battery power using DC, or AC current. The canister can also be heated with an alternative application that is actually on the exterior of the enclosure and heats the inside of the inverted canister using fuel such as propane or alcohol. The purpose is to create a steady supply of steam to power a turbine that will drive an alternator or generator and create electricity that will heat the coils, and in turn charge a battery and supply additional power for applications such as an automobile or any other application where electric power, pressure or steam heat can be used. The goal is to create an automobile such as the gas/electric hybrid using the steam cell in conjunction with the turbine to replace the gasoline engine.

    • A steam generator is located within a tank. At one end of the tank there is a flange. Mounted on the outside of the flange there is a magnetron that is cooled by a fan surrounding the magnetron. A heat tube extends from the magnetron into the tank. Within the heat tube there is a block of silicon carbide which has a passageway through it. The magnetron fires microwave energy down the passageway heating the block of silicon carbide and the heat tube. Water tubes about the inside surface of the tank spray a mist of water on the heat tube to produce steam which is removed by a steam line through ports at the opposite end of the tank from the magnetron.The steam may be used for many purposes but in a vehicle it may be injected into the cylinders of a four stroke internal combustion engine through the openings for the spark plugs. Make up water is collected from the dehumidifier. Water is recovered from the crankcase by a float system, and returned to the storage container.

    • The humidity within a chamber is controlled by injecting pulses of steam therein, the duty cycle of the steam pulse input being increased when the humidity of the chamber is lower than desired and decreased when the humidity of the chamber is higher than desired. Each steam pulse is generated by injecting a pulse of water through a small inlet tube into a steam generator comprising a tank surrounded by a band heater, the tank being preheated to a high temperature such that the water quickly turns to steam as it is injected. The steam is then vented into the aforementioned chamber. A detector, mounted within the chamber, produces a signal of magnitude proportional to the relative humidity in the chamber and this signal is input to a control circuit for producing a pulse width modulated control signal of duty cycle varying with the difference between the magnitude of the humidity sensor signal and an adjustable set point signal. The control signal opens and closes a solenoid valve which effects the injection of water into the steam generator.
