The apparatus includes a substantially planar base plate, a guide slot bar coupled to a bottom surface of the base plate, and a stock alignment tool. The stock alignment tool includes a first substantially planar section having a straight edge and a second substantially planar section at a different height than the first substantially planar section, and the stock alignment tool is configured to be removably coupled to the substantially planar base plate to permit alignment of stock relative to the blade of the table saw. In addition, the guide slot bar is configured to be received within a guide slot of a table portion of the table saw.

The indicia member is mounted pivotally on the rod member about a pivot axis, and includes a base plate formed with a generally semi-circular cutout. The indicator is disposed in the cutout and points to angle indicia that are provided on the base plate adjacent to the cutout. The base plate is further formed with a curved guide slot, and has a bottom side formed with a plurality of angularly spaced apart positioning grooves. The spring-loaded tumbler unit is mounted on the rod member and engages removably a selected one of the positioning grooves. The locking unit passes through the guide slot and is operable so as to engage the rod member and arrest undesired rotation of the indicia member relative to the rod member.

The shaft presses on the object when pushing the knob member to allow the shaft to be freely shifted in the hole of the knob member. The knob member is then released to be biased by the spring to securely position the shaft. A crank lifts an end of the arm to presses the shaft downward.
