    • A face hobbing cutter system for face hobbing spiral bevel gears. The system includes at least one set of detachable cartridge assemblies having a plurality of respective cartridge assemblies. Each cartridge assembly includes a plurality of cartridges and indexable milling inserts. A part of the inserts of each set of cartridge assemblies are rhombic, tangential-mounted inserts for milling flanks of spiral bevel gear teeth, while the other inserts are grooving inserts, which are arranged transversely to the tangential-mounted inserts, for milling roots of spiral bevel gear teeth. The tangential-mounted inserts of each set of cartridge assemblies are provided in pairs, one being provided with its front facing the central axis, and the other being provided with its front facing away the central axis, to respectively mill concave curved flanks and convex curved flanks of the spiral bevel gear teeth.

    • A device for cutting teeth in gear blanks by hob peeling, the device having a workpiece spindle for holding the gear blank, the workpiece spindle being rotationally drivable about a workpiece rotational axis, the device having a tool spindle which carries a peeling wheel having cutting edges and which is rotationally drivable about a tool rotational axis, wherein the tool spindle and the workpiece spindle may be positioned relative to one another at a fixed or variable axis intersection angle, and for the purpose of forward feed and infeed, the tool spindle is movable relative to the workpiece spindle in the radial direction and in the axial direction with reference to the workpiece rotational axis by means of positioning drives, and the device having an electronic control device for controlling the positioning drives and rotationally driving the tool spindle and the workpiece spindle at a specified rotational speed ratio, optionally with a changing phase position. In order to expand the production spectrum, it is proposed that the control device is set up or may be set up in such a way that during cutting of teeth in a coarsely precut or uncut blank, a radial emerging motion out of the gear blank is superimposed on the axial feed at the end of the feed, and/or a radial submerging motion into the gear blank is superimposed on the axial feed at the start of the feed.

    • A gear shaping machine includes a cutter mounted at the lower end of a spindle and a worm gear surrounding the spindle. A first guide is provided on the spindle and has axially extending guide flutes formed thereon. A second guide is disposed in surrounding relation to the spindle and has axially extending guide grooves formed in an inner surface for sliding engagement with the spindle guide flutes and helically advancing guide flutes formed in its outer surface for engaging corresponding guide flutes formed in the inner surface of the worm gear. A first adjustable eccentric is coupled to the spindle for controlling the vertical movement thereof and a second adjustable eccentric is coupled to the second guide for selectively controlling its vertical movement.
