摘要： Some embodiments of the cable lock provide a body defining a housing in which a cable can be received to lock the cable lock. In some embodiments, the cable is rotatable with respect to the housing when the cable lock is in a locked state, thereby increasing the difficulty of circumventing the lock. The cable lock can have a wall with an aperture shaped to compliment the cross-sectional shape of the cable passed therethrough, an end wall that can be attached to the housing by rolling or crimping an edge of the housing over the end wall, and/or one or more visual indicators providing a manner by which tampering of the cable lock can be detected.

摘要： A one-piece pull-tight or strap-type security seal adapted for closing bags or the like that is designed to be easily applied in comparison with existing ones. One seal of this type has a lever operation in which a closure strap (4) is integral with a central or operating portion (2) that is, its turn, integral with a lever member (6) to which the strap may be fixed during application around the neck of a bag to be closed. The lever member is then pivoted outwardly and backwardly over the operating portion, tightening the loop so formed by means of a lever action, and then locked by security locking formations (16, 19) to effect sealing. According to the invention, the closure strap is for all effects flat, its formations for fixing it to the lever member (6) comprising a series of orifices (7) distributed along its length, whereas the immobilising formation for the closure strap comprises a first protuberance (15) adapted, on formation of the loop (25), to be received in one of the said orifices (7). The operating member (2) may be provided with an elastic hook (24) that, in the closed position of the seal, passes through another of the orifices (7) in the closure strap so as to maintain the seal closed even if the locking formations are damaged or broken. A separate seal (26) is also described, in one embodiment, so as to permit uses of the one-piece seal (1) after the first use when the security locking formations 816, 19) have already been damaged or broken.

摘要： One end of a stranded steel cable is attached to a cast zinc seal housing having a chamber in which a steel sleeve with a tapered bore is positioned. The sleeve in one embodiment is fixed to the housing in the chamber or may be displaceable and captured in the chamber in a further embodiment. A serpentine clip locking member captured in the housing chamber resiliently radially grips the a second end of the shackle inserted into the sleeve bore and wedges and locks to the cable and sleeve when the shackle is withdrawn. The sleeve precludes damage to the softer zinc housing by the locking member when the locking member is displaced in the housing chamber. Various embodiments are disclosed. In a further embodiment, the one end of the cable exits the housing in a plane different than where the second end enters the chamber to enhance ease of insertion of the second end into engagement with the locking member.

摘要： A seal and lock includes a flexible metal cable held permanently at one end in a housing, the other end being insertable through the housing and is locked therein by a spring-biased ball which wedges against the cable upon an attempt to pull the cable from the housing. A second ball is located between the spring and the first-mentioned ball, and wedges against the cable to further prevent removal thereof and to prevent twisting of the cable as a way of removing the cable from the housing. The second ball is of sufficiently soft material so that the cable when pulled digs into the second ball to increase the jamming force against the cable.
