摘要： The storage chest of the present invention comprises: a box portion having opposed front and rear walls, a pair of opposed side walls; and a floor attached to the front, rear and side walls to form a storage cavity; and a lid pivotally interconnected with the rear wall. The lid includes: a generally planar top panel; and a front panel merging with and extending generally perpendicularly to the top panel. The front panel includes a recess formed by a horizontally disposed face and a vertically disposed face positioned below and merging with the horizontally disposed face. The top panel and front panel are integrally formed from a unitary member of substantially constant thickness. The lid is moveable between a closed position, in which the top panel is generally horizontally disposed above the floor and the lid contacts at least one of the front, rear and side walls and prevents access to the storage cavity from above, and the front panel is positioned generally above the front wall, and an open position, in which the top panel takes a non-horizontal position, the front panel is positioned rearwardly of the front wall, and the lid allows access to the storage cavity from above. In this configuration, the recess in the front panel of the lid serves as a grasping handle for the lid, thereby eliminating the additional handle piece included in prior art lids.

摘要： The invention is directed to a drawer front having a front panel and a pull attached thereto. The front panel has a front wall with a top flange extending rearwardly from a top portion of the front wall and a back flange extending downward from the top flange. The pull has a generally inverted J-shaped cross-section. The pull has a front portion for a user to grasp with his fingers and a rear portion spaced apart from the front portion. A middle portion interconnects the front portion and the rear portion. A locking element is attached to one of the back flange of the front panel and the rear portion of the pull. A first aperture is located on the other of the back flange of the front panel and the rear portion of the pull. The locking element mates with the first aperture to thereby secure the pull to the front panel.

摘要： A file cabinet including a number of file shelves or drawers located one on top of the other and which are slidable in and out of the cabinet. The drawers can be arranged so that all of the drawers open on one side of the file cabinet or so that some of the drawers open on one side of the file cabinet and the remaining drawers open on the opposite side of the file cabinet. Anti-tipping mechanisms are provided to automatically prevent opening of the remaining drawers on a side of the file cabinet when one of the drawers on said side is opened. These mechanisms are connected to locks which prevents opening of any of the file drawers or shelves on one side of the cabinet upon actuation of its lock. A flush pull snap fits into the front panel of each file drawer and a label holding insert snap fits into the flush pull.
