    • The present invention relates to a sanitary fitting having a fitting house and having a control cartridge which is arranged in the latter. The control cartridge has a control shank which is pivotably mounted in the control cartridge. On the control shank is displaceably mounted an actuating lever which can be pivoted up and down between a closed position and an open position in order thus to control the water flow. Furthermore, a plate is mounted at one end on the guide element and at the other end on an axis of rotation which is fixedly arranged with respect to the pivot axis and which is parallel thereto. By means of this arrangement, during the pivoting of the actuating lever from the closed position in the direction toward the open position, said actuating lever is also moved in the direction away from the control shank and, in the direction of the cartridge axis, away from the fitting housing.

    • A timed water control valve system for use with a shower, which comprises a valve body within a housing having a water flow passage with a water inlet for a source of water and a water outlet for a device to dispense water, which water flow is to be time controlled. The valve body includes first, second and third spool passageways, with the three spools therein tensionally positioned in their respective spool passageways and adapted to move slidably between a water flow position and a non-water flow position. A timer having a rotatable shaft is connected to a knob which on rotatable movement activates the timer to a preselected water flow time period for the flow of water. The knob is also moved between an inward, water non-activated position and an outward, water activated position; first and second cams about the shaft and between the timer and knob permit the rotation of the knob. A third spool can be selectedly moved slidably between a position to interrupt the preselected water flow time period of the timer and a timer non-stop position; and the first and second cams are arranged so that the user cannot select an additional selected water flow time period until the first cam is placed by the timer in a selected cam alignment with the second cam. A color coded timing indicator extends outwardly from the housing and is connected to the first cam to indicate the water flow condition within the water control valve apparatus.

    • A timer in which the re-filling of a control chamber (26) via its inlet (56) causes displacement of a resilient wall (34). A surface (62) of the wall (34) thus engages a valve seat (64) to shut-off the inlet (14) of the timer from its outlet (20). To open the timer a cap (88) is depressed. A stem (90) depending from the cap depresses an element (44) against the action of a spring (60). The element (44) is thus displaced to open the outlet bore (42) of the chamber (26). Water pressure in the casing (12) acting on the wall (34) then urges it in the direction which separates the surface (62) from the seat (64). A series of stop surfaces (86) co-operate with a stop element (100) of the cap (88). The surfaces (86) are at different heights. The distance through which the cap (88) can be depressed is varied by rotating it so that the element (100) co-operates with a selected surface (86).

    • A fluid mixing valve comprises a body defining a cylindrical chamber having two spaced-apart inlets and an outlet spaced axially from the inlets, a valve closure element and a mixture control element in the chamber and a valve spindle connected to the closure and control elements. Axial movement of the spindle moves the closure element in a mode to open or close the inlets. Rotation of the actuator, when the inlets are open, rotates the mixture control element so as to control the relative degree of flow through the inlets.

    • A valve housing has an internal mixing chamber and an elongated passage rising from the mixing chamber. At least two fluid conduits open at the bottom wall of the mixing chamber and communicate with the latter so as to discharge fluid under pressure thereinto. A valve arrangement includes a member of arcuately segmental shape which is provided at its opposite ends with valve members accommodated in the open ends of the conduits and capable of being deflected from the closed position in which they stop fluid flow, to open positions in which they are located farther in the mixing chamber and permit the fluid flow into the same. A valve control element is mounted in the passage and is turnable as well as axially displaceable therein, having a lower end face constructed as a cam face and capable of engaging the valve members in a sense moving them to closed position, or retracting therefrom in a sense permitting the valve members to be displaced by the pressure of fluid in the conduits to positions in which they are spaced at different distances from the openings of the conduits and permit the fluid flow out of the conduits into the mixing chamber at different rates.
