    • A fluidic device which produces fluid pulses having a selected pulse repetition frequency, pulse duration, pulse peak pressure and pulse peak flow rate includes first, second and third fluid flow controlling channels or lumens which converge in a junction, defining a “Y” configuration having a base leg and right and left diverging arms. The first leg portion has a fluid input and terminates downstream at the Y junction of the base and the two diverging arms. The first leg has converging walls which reduce the cross sectional area of the flow to thereby increase the fluid velocity to make a fluid jet. The second or right leg, begins at the Y junction and terminates distally in an enclosed, fluid-tight container having a selected blind volume. The third, or left leg, begins at the Y junction and terminates distally in a fluid outlet passage having a selected cross-sectional area.

    • A device for simultaneously modulating and amplifying low frequency sounds which comprises a tubular member having an axial bore extending a distance interiorly of the inlet end thereof and tapering to a reduced axial bore in said tubular member. A generally perpendicular passageway in said tubular member intersects said reduced axial bore, the top wall of which terminates adjacent to said intersection and the bottom wall of which extends past said intersection, said extended portion being deflected a finite angle relative to the normal axial flow. The tubular member is received by a sleeve, and a first baffle flared in the direction of the flow is angularly disposed relative to said sleeve to define a first passageway in said tubular member. A second baffle in spaced relation to the first baffles is also angularly disposed relative to the first baffle and also angularly disposed relative to the sleeve to define a second passageway in said tubular member such that the area of the second passageway is greater than the area of the first passageway. A receptor tube is provided at the outlet end of said tubular member engaged with said sleeve, said receptor tube being generally flared in the direction of flow. A signal output transmitting member is attached at the end of the receptor tube for transmitting the amplified sound to an external receiver. An orifice is provided in said sleeve intermediate the receptor tube and the second baffles for the passage of the gases which do not substantially enter the receptor tube.

    • A control device for a cleaning installation which is interconnected in the exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine and absorbs the harmful substances of the exhaust gases; the control device thereby controls the throughflow of the exhaust gases through the cleaning installation as a function of the operating condition of the internal combustion engine and utilizes for this control a flow-controlled exhaust gas conduit system; the flow-controlled exhaust gas conduit system is arranged between an exhaust gas manifold and a catalyst serving as cleaning installation and is itself controlled automatically by the flow resistance of the catalyst and by exhaust gas channels of different cross sections and/or configurations interconnected in the exhaust gas conduit system.
