    • A connector for use in a negative pressure coolant system is disclosed. The connector connects coolant system circulating to an electrical component thereby allowing the coolant to circulate through the electrical component. The connector is made up of two components, a component side connector and a pump side connector, and can be in three positions: disengaged, semi-engaged and fully-engaged. An electrical component can be drained of its coolant while the connector is shifted from the fully-engaged position, to the semi-engaged position and to the disengaged position. This can be accomplished without shutting down the negative pressure coolant system, thus allowing a particular electrical component to be disconnected without affecting the cooling efficiency of other electrical components connected to the system. Because the coolant is drained, it will not spill on the electrical component and cause damage.

    • A vacuum generating device, such as a wet/dry vacuum, is attached to a faucet by an attachment member. The attachment member includes a faucet connector, for connecting to the faucet, and a vacuum connector, for connecting to the vacuum generating device. The faucet connector and vacuum connector are fluidly connected by a conduit. The method for draining plumbing lines includes the step of shutting off the external supply of water to the plumbing lines. The vacuum generating device is then connected to a first faucet, and the valve to the first faucet is opened. The vacuum generating device is then activated and the valves to the remaining faucets are opened in order to create a pressure differential in the plumbing lines. The pressure differential causes water in the lines to flow into the vacuum generating device.

    • The invention provides an apparatus for enabling stock washing liquor to be prepared from washing-agent powder taken directly from the powder container containing it, without producing any dust, and to store the liquor thus prepared for supply to at least one industrial wet vacuum cleaner. The apparatus includes a tub-shaped bottom section and a top section which is hermetically mounted on the bottom section. A suction line leads into the container, the end remote from the container being inserted into the powder in the powder container. A fresh-water line also terminates in the container. The water is directed onto the stream of powder passing through the suction line. A stock-liquor feed line is operatively linked to a pump to permit liquor to be pumped from an inlet near the floor of the container and out of the container.
