The motor assembly includes upper and lower motors, each having an adapter coupled together. Each adapter has a wire passage for each phase of the motor. Wires from the motors join electrical connectors, the electrical connectors being mounted to insulators in the adapter passages. A debris seal locates above the upper electrical connector in each upper adapter passage. Another debris seal locates between the overlapping portions of the two insulators of each adapter passage.

The male connector includes a first lug and a second lug and apparatus for connecting the male connectors to the brush assembly and to the stator. In some forms of the invention the male connectors are spade lugs which may be coplanar axially aligned, and the apparatus for connecting the male connectors may include a first planar portion and a second planar portion. The first planar portion is coplanar with the spade lugs in some forms of the invention and the second portion is disposed in oblique relationship to the first portion. The housing may include first and second slots dimensioned and configured and aligned respectively with the first and second spade lugs to allow entry of associated mating electrical connectors.

摘要： A plurality of separate electrical power supply lead wires each have an exposed end portion projecting from a surrounding insulation. Each lead wire is crimped onto a corresponding collett-like socket member which is inserted into an insulator sleeve disposed within a bore formed within a submersible electric motor housing. Each socket member receives a conductor prong member which projects into the sleeve and is crimped to a stator lead wire. A tubular bushing, a resilient ring and a tubular nut surround the lead wire and project into the upper end of the bore for producing a fluid-tight seal between the insulation on the lead wire and the housing and to press the socket member axially into the sleeve which cams the socket member firmly against the conductor prong member. The conductor prong member projects through a hole within an annular lightning arrestor electrode which defines an electrical gap surrounding the prong member. The prong member is also sealed to the motor housing by a resilient ring which is compressed axially within the lower end portion of the bore by another tubular bushing and a tubular nut which surrounds the stator lead wire.

摘要： A connector for making one or more electrical connections to a threaded male or female connection for power distribution applications such as power transformer connections especially in locations in which considerable moisture or water is likely to be present. A conductive connector is designed to mate at one end with the transformer connection within the transformer tank. A body, preferably tubular in shape, is suitably molded or cast about the connector and should be composed of a suitable water impervious resin such as epoxy or the like. The molded body terminates at one end in a bushing section for each transformer connection. The molded body at the other end terminates in a tubular cylindrical wall for each connector. Each cylindrical wall terminates in a peripheral raised rim from which a connector tang centrally protrudes. The raised rim mates with a shoulder on the inside of a waterproof, elastic, tubular sleeve to fully insulate the terminal connection against exposure.
