摘要： Systems and methods for individual telephone numbering assignment and administration in a telecommunications network are disclosed. Particularly, the invention relates to the concept of acquiring individual telephone numbers instead of acquiring a block of telephone numbers from an administration agency. According to disclosed embodiments, the system and method allow a carrier to request an individual telephone number from a numbering administrator. The numbering administrator verifies that the carrier is authorized to request an individual telephone in a particular geographic area. If the carrier is authorized, the numbering administrator obtains an individual telephone number from its database and provides it to the carrier. The carrier initiates an intra-carrier assignment with an administrative agency to get the individual telephone number assigned to it. The administrative agency processes the assignment activation request, and upon completion of the addignment process, notifies all carriers that the individual telephone number is assigned to the requesting carrier.

摘要： Components of a telephone system often do not evolve in lock-step with other system improvements. For a variety of reasons, a component in a system may be operational to enable telephone calls utilizing a particular dialing format but be inoperable for calls utilizing a different format. Telephone number formats were initially numeric. The number of digits and format of the digits was often determined based on a country-specific dialing plan. Many countries have moved to more digits or alphanumeric formats (e.g., URIs). By capturing these enhanced addresses and generating an associated unique identifier, internal networks may utilize legacy numbering systems internally and, once the call reaches an edge device, route them based upon the enhanced address.

The method comprises analyzing an IP flow in a packet-centric manner, classifying the IP flow, scheduling the IP flow for transmission over a shared wireless bandwidth between a wireless base station and at least one subscriber customer premises equipment (CPE) station, allocating the shared wireless bandwidth to a communication of the IP flow between the wireless base station and a subscriber CPE station so as to optimize end-user quality of service (QoS) associated with the IP flow.

摘要： Various embodiments provide for a way of routing messages using location routing numbers. More specifically, some embodiments can route calls on different legacy networks by using features of existing telecommunication policy and databases. For example, a location routing number can be registered in a number portability administration center database. The location routing number may be in a native number block of a facility carrier and a company registering the location routing number in the number portability administration center database may not be the facility carrier. The destination switch of the facility carrier can be programmed to accept traffic associated with the location routing number. As a result, components of the network can route the message for the company to a destination switch of the facility carrier.
