摘要： The present invention provides a method for charging control in a Flow Based Charging (FBC) system, which includes the steps of: a Charging Rule Function (CRF) receives a charging rule request message from a Traffic Plane Function (TPF), the CRF sends a charging rule to the TPF. The charging rule includes an indication on whether to perform charging for a service data flow, and if the indication indicates to perform no charging, the service data flow is filtered but no charging information is generated. By applying this invention, operation in the TPF is optimized such that the TPF only needs to perform necessary charging instead of performing charging operation for the service data flow which does not need to be charged. As a result, the load of the TPF is reduced, so is the load of network devices, and system efficiency is improved.

The method comprises transferring from the home network to the foreign network during registration of the subscriber with an exchange of the foreign network, an address of a billing system of the home network in a signalling network to which said exchange and said billing system are coupled. Said address is associated with CDRs generated by said exchange in respect of the subscriber, and the CDRs transferred from said exchange to said billing system over said signalling network on the basis of the associated address.

摘要： A communications device such as a mobile telephone responds to the input of a dialed number for a call destination by generating and outputting a request message transmitted to a control center by a telecommunications system. The device receives a response message from the control center containing routing data and credit data representing remaining credit within an account limit of the subscriber. An outgoing communications session is then initiated using the routing data which may for example enable a dialed telephone number to be modified to achieve optimum routing to the call destination by one or more preferred networks. The device also includes a credit control application for limiting the duration of the communication in accordance with the credit data. Mobile telephones may thereby be used with a prepayment subscription account even during a roaming operation in which the mobile telephone registers with a network other than the subscriber's home network.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and a method for charging in a communication network and to a communication network charging server. The system comprises a client (1) associated with the network for providing services to subscribers associated with the network. The charging server (2) is adapted to handle subscriber account information, and the said client (1) is adapted to send a first charging request message for a service, to the charging server (2) before the service is provided, using an on-line charging protocol (3). The charging server (2) is also adapted to perform pre-reservation of an amount of resources from the subscriber's account, wherein the amount depends on a requested amount included in the message about the service, and to return an answer message including information indicating whether an amount of resources is pre-reserved from said subscriber account for enabling usage of the service to the client (1) using the on-line charging protocol (3).

It is then determined by the other mobile station whether there is a willingness there to accept transfer of the costs of the collect call, and the other mobile station will call back the calling mobile station if cost transfer is has been accepted.
