摘要： A method and system for dividing a signal push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) group session are provided. The method includes requesting, at a PoC client, session division to a participating PoC function (PF) of a PoC server that manages a PoC session to which the PoC client belongs; requesting, at the PF of the PoC server, the session division to a controlling PoC function (CF) of a PoC server; transmitting, at the CF of the PoC server, information necessary for a new PoC session to at least one PoC client that desires to participate in the new PoC session while requesting the session division; and connecting, at the PoC client which is to participate in the new PoC session, to a CF of a PoC server which manages the new PoC session through a CF of an existing PoC server to thereby participate in the new PoC session.

摘要： A telecommunications system is described which allows a push-to-talk: over cellular (PoC) communication session to be established between PoC Clients comprised in respective mobile terminals (1A, 1A′, 1B). The PoC Clients form a group of devices between which a PoC communication session is established. A single controlling PoC function (22B) controls the admission of new members to the PoC communication session and the removal of members from the PoC communication session. Each PoC Client communicates with the PoC controlling function (22B) via a respective PoC participating function (20A, 20A′,20B). In accordance with an advantageous feature of the embodiment described, the controlling PoC function (22B) issues a Talk Burst Granted message having a modified form to a PoC Client (via its associated PoC participating function) when that client is given permission to transmit a talk burst. The modified Talk Burst Granted message includes an indication of the number of active members in the PoC communication session. This information is extracted by the relevant PoC participating function and enables that PoC participating function to determine the number of PoC Clients to which the talk burst originating from its PoC Client will be transmitted. This enables the PoC participating function to provide an indication to its PoC Client of the number of PoC Clients to which its talk bursts will be transmitted and/or to cause a charge to be rendered to the user of its PoC Client in accordance with the number of recipients.

The PoC server (351) receives a PoC invitation message (310) with PoC preferences and a message (313) from an originating device (311). The PoC preferences determine what device to call first (e.g., a mobile device 315, 317) and how many hops the call can be forwarded (e.g., to a voicemail server) if the first-attempted device is not available, before discontinuing the connection. If a trigger, such as time elapsed, occurs for the first-attempted device (350) and the PoC preferences permit, the PoC server (351) sends an invitation message (360) to the second server (391). If the second server (391) is a recording server, the invitation message (360) includes a message (363) from the originating device that is compatible with the capabilities of the recording server (391).

摘要： A method and system of flow based charging for IP multimedia system services are disclosed. The system includes a call processing server, and a session charging functionality. The method comprises negotiating media to be used within a session during a session initiating signaling. The method also includes generating a set of charging flow identifiers according to a predefined mechanism. The set of charging flow identifiers are associated with respective charging identifiers of the IP multimedia system identifying the session. A charging identifier of the IP multimedia system and a charging flow identifier globally uniquely identify a media component within a session. The call processing server and the session charging functionality generate the same charging flow identifiers by using the predefined mechanism so that the charging flow identifiers are known before any resource reservation occurs.

摘要： An apparatus and a method are provided for multiplexing different sessions using the same authorized contexts for media. The method includes distinguishing different control plane sessions by a user equipment, and identifying media flows of a same application among the different control plane sessions by the user equipment by setting a service identifier. The method further includes sending the service identifier by the user equipment to a call state control function including a policy decision function, and authorizing quality of service for a user plane context by the policy decision function. Furthermore, the method includes enabling, by the policy decision function based on the service identifier, the different control plane sessions with media flows of the same application to share the same user plane context with the authorized quality of service to multiplex the different control plane sessions with media flows of the same application.
