摘要： Disclosed herein are a method for transmitting and receiving compressed data and an apparatus therefor. According to the method for transmitting compressed data, a transmission apparatus for transmitting compressed data standardizes the value of an In-phase/Quadrature-phase (IQ) data sample to a preset type that is selected from among a positive number and a negative number, determines the sample type of the IQ data sample, the value of which is standardized to the preset type, based on a sample type determination rule, generates a compressed bit string based on the compression rule pertaining to the determined sample type, generates compressed data, including at least one of a reference bit corresponding to the sample type, the sign bit of the IQ data sample, and the compressed bit string, for each IQ data sample, and transmits the compressed data to a reception apparatus.

摘要： An apparatus for estimating carrier frequency offset includes an Mth-power circuit, a spectrum generating circuit, a spectrum adjusting circuit, a peak frequency determining circuit and a frequency offset determining circuit. The Mth-power circuit performs an Mth-power calculation on an input signal to generate an Mth-power calculation result. The spectrum generating circuit generates a spectrum according to the Mth-power calculation result. The spectrum adjusting circuit identifies a partial energy peak value in a partial frequency range from the spectrum, and increases the partial energy peak value to be higher than any other energy in the spectrum to generate an adjusted spectrum. The peak frequency determining circuit identifies a peak frequency having a maximum energy peak value from the adjusted spectrum. The frequency offset determining circuit determines an estimated carrier frequency offset result according to the peak frequency.

摘要： Described are systems and methods of determining DC offset voltages in IQ modulators. First, two different DC test voltages are selected for one of the inputs to the IQ modulator. Then, a first test voltage is applied to one input to the IQ modulator while test data is generated by measuring outputs from a set of signals applied to the other input to the IQ modulator. Then the second test voltage is applied and another set of test data generated. From the first and second sets of test data, second-order polynomial functions may be constructed and compared to one another to yield a ratio of power value outputs. Then the DC offset voltages may be determined from the ratio of power value outputs.

According to some embodiments, a signal receiving system may comprise an I/Q demodulator that demodulates a first modulated signal to an in-phase (“I”) signal and a quadrature (“Q”) signal, an I/Q signal adjustor that adaptively adjusts the Q signal to increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a transitory signal that is based on a second modulated signal, and an I/Q modulator that modulates the I signal and the adjusted Q signal to the second modulated signal. To increase the SNR, the Q signal may be adjusted based on a calculated error determined for the transitory signal during demodulation by a demodulator downstream from the I/Q modulator.
