摘要： A thermally compensated circuit includes a first adjustable circuit, like an adjustable current source, to produce a first adjustable signal, such a reference current. The circuit includes a second adjustable circuit to produce a second adjustable signal, such as a reference voltage. Circuitry responsive to the first and second adjustable signals produces an output, such as a clock signal. A tunable circuit in the first adjustable circuit and a tunable first element of the second adjustable circuit set an operating characteristic, such as a clock period, of the output to a target level at a first temperature. A tunable second element of the second adjustable circuit sets the operating characteristic of the output signal at the target level at a second temperature. Tuning of the second tunable element at the second temperature does not substantially change the operating characteristic of the output signal at the first temperature.

摘要： A crystal oscillator (XO) and a method for performing startup of the XO are provided. The XO includes a XO core circuit, an auxiliary oscillator and a frequency detection circuit, wherein the frequency detection circuit includes a resistive circuit. The frequency detection circuit generates a detection voltage according to a driving signal associated with an auxiliary signal generated by the auxiliary oscillator and a first impedance of the resistive circuit. During a first powered on phase, the auxiliary oscillator is calibrated by utilizing the XO core circuit as a reference after startup of the XO core circuit is completed, and the resistive circuit is calibrated according to the detection voltage. During a second powered on phase, a frequency of the driving signal is calibrated according to the detection voltage, and the driving signal is injected to the XO core circuit for accelerating the startup of the XO core circuit.

摘要： An electronic device may include a transceiver with mixer circuitry that up-converts or down-converts signals based on a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) signal. The transceiver circuitry may include first, second, third, and fourth VCOs. Each VCO may include a VCO core that receives a control voltage and an inductor coupled to the VCO core. Fixed linear capacitors may be coupled between the VCO cores. A switching network may be coupled between the VCOs. Control circuitry may place the VCO circuitry in one of four different operating modes and may switch between the operating modes to selectively control current direction in each of the inductors. The VCO circuitry may generate the VCO signal within a respective frequency range in each of the operating modes. The VCO circuitry may exhibit a relatively wide frequency range across all of the operating modes while introducing minimal phase noise to the system.
