    • A multiple position switch assembly includes two or more switch modules. The switch modules are each suited as an individual switch module for use in a two-way switch assembly. Two switch modules of like kind but complementary to one another may be combined with one another such that the two combined switch modules form a four-way switch assembly. Each switch module includes control elements pivotally or movably connected to a base. Each of the control elements is associated with a switching element. In the four-way switch assembly, the control elements are arranged in an antiparallel arrangement and each can be alternately actuated by a common actuator. Upon being actuated, the control elements pivot or move to actuate the corresponding switching element. The actuator is movable along four actuating directions oriented in a cross-shaped manner with regard to one another.

    • A push-button switch includes an insulating board, an actuator, an urging body and a push button. The insulating board has plural switch-contacts. The actuator is made of resilient material and includes a base section placed on the board, a primary and secondary actuating sections. Both the sections are disposed above the switch-contacts and linked to the base section via respective linking sections. The urging body has a first end rotatably supported by a supporting section formed on the actuator or another supporting section formed on the insulating board, and has a second end for urging the primary actuating section. The push button depresses a mid-section of the urging body. The structure discussed above allows the push-button switch to have various combinations of operating forces and strokes. The push-button switch and a multiple switch employing this push-button switch can be used in various electronic apparatuses.

    • A multi-way flipping switch including a base plate having stationary contacts, a click rubber member placed on the base plate and having hollow protrusions located over the stationary contacts, movable contacts mounted on inner surfaces of the hollow protrusions, a housing mounted on the base plate having a central opening, a holding member mounted on the housing, rotating members having one end rotatably mounted on the holding member and a second end contacting an upper surface of the hollow protrusions, and an operating member pivotally mounted on the housing such that a portion of the operating member protrudes through the central opening, the operating member including driving members contacting middle sections of the rotating members. In operation, pivoting of the operation member in an arbitrary direction causes rotation of one of the rotating members, thereby driving the end of the rotating member downward against the upper surface of a corresponding hollow protrusion, and thereby collapsing the hollow protrusion such that the movable contact located inside the hollow protrusion contacts a corresponding stationary contact on the base plate. The upper surface of each of the hollow protrusions is curved such that the corresponding rotating member contacts the upper surface at a point.
