    • A twin lever key with horizontal finger pads for code transmission when used with an electronic iambic keyer in Amateur Radio, the index finger and the middle or third finger of the operator resting on the finger pads, whereby signals are generated by pressing the finger pads of either of the two arms singly or in combination thereof, to produce the dot and dash code signals in iambic predetermined code sequences. There is no lateral wrist or hand action as is typical of the common "paddle key" since the hand is held in the horizontal plane and the key is activated by downward vertical motion from the fingers. The key may be used for code practice, normal continuous wave (cw) operating or contesting.

    • An actuator device which includes a fixed support structure, an actuation member movable, a contrast member tending to maintain the actuation member in a rest position, a shape-memory wire connected to the structure and to the actuation member, and an electric circuit for supplying an electric current to the shape-memory wire. The circuit includes a pair of terminals. One end of the shape-memory wire is connected to a first terminal. The circuit includes further an electric switch, including a first conducting member electrically connected with the second terminal, and a second conducting member carried by the actuation member and electrically connected with the other end of the shape-memory wire. The switch is closed when the actuation member is in the rest position, and remains closed until when the actuation member reaches a working position, and opens when the actuation member passes beyond the working position.

    • A switch for detecting an erroneous erase protection fin provided on a side wall of a video tape cassette including a stationary contact strip made of electrically conductive metal, a movable contact strip made of electrically conductive metal, and a main body formed by an integral molding of electrically insurating synthetic resin. The main body includes a base portion for supporting the stationary and movable contact strips such that they are aligned in a direction in which they are resiliently deformable, a first actuation portion which is engaged with the stationary and movable contact strips, a first flexible portion provided between the base portion and the first actuation portion, a second actuation portion which is engaged with the movable contact portion, and a second flexible portion which is provided between the base portion and the second actuation portion. When the cassette has the fin, the first and second actuation portions are pushed and the stationary and movable contact strips are placed in contact with each other, but when the fin has been removed from the cassette, the second actuation portion is not pushed and the movable contact strip is separated from the stationary contact strip.
