    • A light emitting apparatus includes a first stepper motor, a mounting frame, a second stepper motor, at least one reflector, and a light source. The first stepper motor has a first rotor and a first output shaft coupled to and driven by the first rotor. The frame is fixed to and rotates together with the first output shaft. The second stepper motor has a second rotor and a second output shaft coupled to and driven by the second rotor. The second stepper motor is mounted on the mounting frame such that the second output shaft is transverse to the first output shaft and is rotatable relative to the mounting frame. The reflector is fixed to and rotates with the second output shaft, and has a light reflecting surface and a plurality of differently colored reflecting facets disposed around an axis of the second output shaft and on the reflecting surface. The light source is radially spaced from the first output shaft such that light emitted by the light source is reflected by the light reflecting surface of the reflector when the mounting frame is turned stepwise by the first output shaft so as to move the reflector on a route of the emitted light.

    • An apparatus and method for producing a multisided, multicolored display which includes an enclosure with a plurality of translucent light scattering sides, top and bottom. A plurality of light sources are positioned in a spaced apart relationship to radiate sufficiently to illuminate all of the light scattering sides. Each of the light sources is of a different color, and the radiation from each source overlaps radiation from the other sources on the light scattering sides. A plurality of symbols may be interposed between the light sources and the light scattering sides to create colored images. Each of the enclosures represents a module, wherein several discrete modules are structured in a matrix fashion, and the entire matrix comprises the display.

    • A color changing display system is provided that includes a light source for producing different light colors, a controller for providing a smooth transition between the different light colors, and a body with a combined image comprising two or more differently colors images printed in a single layer and positioned on the body. Each of the different color images reacts with a respective color of the different light colors such that an appearance of the combined image changes gradually from a first display image having one particular shape into a second display image having a second particular shape in response to the different light colors interacting with the combined image to produce a moving, seemingly holographic effect. The combined image may be back-lit or front-lit.
