摘要： In one aspect, a universal receiver is provided for being operably coupled to a movable barrier operator. The universal receiver includes at least one radio antenna adapted to receive signals transmitted at different frequencies and a controller operably coupled to the at least one radio antenna. The controller is adapted to determine a code of a signal received by the at least one radio antenna at any one of the different frequencies. The controller being further adapted to learn the code in response to a user-independent learning condition being met.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for estimating a distance (d) between a vehicle (10) fitted with a first wireless communication module (12) and an identifier (20) fitted with a second wireless communication module (22), including the following steps: generating a randomly ordered list; receiving, by at least one of the first and second wireless communication modules (12, 22), electromagnetic signals having a frequency that changes consecutively from among a plurality of frequencies in accordance with said list; for each frequency in the plurality of frequencies, measuring a reception phase of the electromagnetic signal having the relevant frequency; estimating said distance (d) on the basis of the measured phases. An electronic unit (11) for a vehicle (10) is also described.

An example disclosed key fob includes a first wireless transceiver tuned to communicate via a first frequency band, second wireless transceiver tuned to communicate via a second frequency band, and a communicator. The first frequency band is different than the second frequency band. The example communicator sends a first message via the first wireless transceiver in response to activation of a first button. Additionally, the example communicator, in response to not receiving a second message via the second wireless transceiver, provides an alert.

This method includes: selecting one of a plurality of predetermined frequency bands each time a switch operation is manually performed in a transmitter, and then using the selected frequency band to transmit a radio signal corresponding to the switch operation for a predetermined specified transmission time; in a receiver apparatus, receiving the transmitted wireless signal, and then recognizing the content of a command that has already been assigned in accordance with the switch operation; and defining an intermittent reception standby period, which is repeated at a predetermined cycle for each of the frequency bands.

摘要： Method for processing a presence signal in a hands-free vehicle access system having capacitive sensors. After starting steps constituted by nominal operation, switching to low-energy consumption mode, and switching to polling of an interrogation signal at nominal frequency, this method includes: presence testing with nominal polling; requesting the identity of the electronic key, transmitted via a central unit; detecting the presence of a hand on a handle transmitted via a capacitive sensor to the central unit; and authorizing the unlocking of the vehicle. The method includes a step of reducing the frequency of signals transmitted by the antenna of the central unit so as to switch into a “slow polling” test, such that the capacitive sensors have sufficient time intervals to test the central unit for the presence of a hand during the information step. The capacitive sensors then have greater availability to signal the presence of a hand.
