摘要： Methods, apparatus, and systems are provided for an antenna evaluation system including a control station and a plurality of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for evaluating the performance of an antenna under test (AUT). The UAVs including radio frequency (RF) sensor modules for receiving and/or transmitting RF signals from/to the AUT. The control station is configured to dynamically control the flight paths of each of the UAVs based on received RF measurements collected by the UAVs during antenna performance evaluation (APE) tests. The APE tests include performance evaluation tests including, without limitation, for example tracking performance, antenna pointing/de-pointing performance and/or any other APE in relation to the AUT. The AUT is a communication on the move (COTM) or satellite communication on the move (SOTM) antenna. For antennas used in satellite communications, the control station may configure the UAVs to mimic a satellite and/or track AUT's beam center when installed on a moving vehicle such as, without limitation, for example a land based vehicle, maritime vehicle, ship, aircraft and any other vehicle onto which the antenna is mounted.

This advanced technology has global operability, extending its reach beyond terrestrial boundaries to other celestial bodies, as long as an internet connection is available.

摘要： Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for locating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A region of airspace may be scanned with two scanning apparatuses. Each scanning apparatus may include one or more directional Radio Frequency (RF) antennae. The two scanning apparatuses may have different locations. Radio frequency signals emitted by a UAV can be received at each of the two scanning apparatuses. The received radio frequency signals can be processed to determine a first location of the UAV.

摘要： A communications system comprises a ground hub in a background area, aerial vehicles flying in a formation with slowly varying spacing between the aerial vehicles, and a user terminal in a region within a foreground area. The foreground area is spatially separate from the background area. The ground hub comprises a ground-based beam forming facility (GBBF) for receiving and transforming input signals into beam-formed signals, and a first antenna system coupled to the GBBF for transmitting concurrently the beam-formed signals in a first frequency band to respective aerial vehicles via respective background links. The aerial vehicles receive respectively the beam-formed signals via the background links and transmit respectively the beam-formed signals as respective signal beams covering at least the region within the foreground area in a second frequency band. The user terminal comprises a second antenna system for receiving concurrently the signal beams via foreground links to the aerial vehicles.

An example method includes determining a first modulation scheme and a first coding scheme that is spectrally efficient for a feeder link communicatively coupled to a gateway antenna and determining a second modulation scheme and second coding scheme that is robust for user links communicatively coupled to respective user antennas. Each user antenna is configured to communicate with a specified cell within a specified area. The example method also includes provisioning the telecommunications apparatus with the first modulation scheme, the first coding scheme, the second modulation scheme, and the second coding scheme.
