摘要： An image processing apparatus which is capable of merging character strings with an original image without causing garbling. A first storage unit stores first character codes corresponding to a first language in accordance with administrator's input. A second storage unit stores a second character codes corresponding to a second character in accordance with login user's input. A reading unit reads an original image in accordance with login user's input. A generation unit generates a first character image corresponding to the first language on the basis of the first character codes and generates a second character image corresponding to the second language on the basis of the second character codes. A printing unit carries out a printing process based on the first character image, the second character image and the original image.

摘要： There are provided a printer, a digital camera with a printer, and a printing method which are capable of simply printing an image having photographic composition intended by a user. A frame layout is displayed on a monitor. Based on an operation of an operation unit, images stored in an internal memory are displayed in frames, and images to be arranged in the frames are selected. In this case, portions of the images corresponding to the frames are cut out, and the images are displayed in the frames. Based on an operation of the operation unit, the images to be arranged in the frames are adjusted by zooming and/or moving the images to be arranged in the frames within the frames. After setting of images for all the frames is completed, an image displayed on the monitor is printed according to a print instruction.

A table is provided that lists strategies/logic for enabling the printing device to emulate each of a plurality of predetermined target fonts with a substitute font. These emulation strategies may include but are not limited to, identifying at least one of a resident font for the printing device, stretchable font, local font, downloadable font, font data provided by a 3rd party, or font data that is embedded in a received document. Target font metrics may be employed as “hints” to refine emulation information for the target font data.

The image processing unit reads the image conversion pattern mapped to the scaling ratio designated for the n-up printing out of the image conversion pattern storage unit when the instructions to carry out the n-up printing and the toner-saving printing are received by the instruction receiving unit, and performs image processing on the image data acquired by the data acquisition unit using the image conversion pattern.

摘要： A method of adjusting a level of liquid to be deposited on a print media includes providing an image processing system. Image data for a page of a print job and information regarding a printing system to be used to deposit the liquid on the print media during a printing operation is provided to the image processing system. The image data for the page of the print job is converted into a bitmap appropriate for analysis of risk of excessive inking related print defects using the image processing system. The overall risk score is determined to be acceptable or unacceptable. The bitmap is released for printing when the overall risk score is acceptable. The image data for the print job page is modified when the overall risk score is unacceptable.
