摘要： A method of preparing and executing a sequence program for effecting the sequence control of a sequence controller for a machine tool by executing a subroutine program. A sequence diagram is prepared, which diagram expresses a function command for a subroutine as data divided into control conditions and parameters. From the sequence diagram a sequence program is prepared, which program includes a command for reading data indicative of a control condition, and parameter data of which a subroutine is informed. The sequence program so prepared is then executed.

摘要： A programmable data processor or controller serving as the main control in a control system contains an executive program for controlling the transfer of information between the processor and system equipment, updating that information during on-line control of the equipment and modifying the executive program to change operating parameters of the system while the data processor is controlling the system equipment. Modification of the executive program and displaying of system parameters related to the executive program and the system equipment is accomplished through the use of an operator's console which communicates with the data processor and system equipment as a result of operator intervention.

摘要： A sequence control system is disclosed which is suitable for control of plural objects to at least some of which similar control sequence operations are performed. In addition to a logical operation unit for receiving signals representative of states of the controlled objects through an I/O device to perform the operations for the desired controls, and a memory unit for storing programmed instructions for logical operations by the logical operation unit at predetermined program addresses, the system is provided with a device for executing repeatedly the processings common to the objects to be controlled. The time required for the processing in the logical operation unit for controlling the objects requiring similar control operations can be remarkably reduced. The system has an excellent utility in applications such as numerical control apparatus in which many objects have substantially identical control operations and are to be controlled at high rate.

摘要： A data handling module connects to the memory of a programmable controller and operates to periodically steal memory cycles from the controller processor to read data out of the memory and write data into it. The data handling module includes a microprocessor which is programmed to perform a number of functions. The function to be performed is indicated by a control status register which is set by the control program and which is periodically examined by the data handling module. The status of the data handling module is also indicated by a register which is examined by programmable controller instructions. In response to directions indicated by the control status register, data files may be transferred between a data file storage and an active data file storage area and messages may be coupled to a TTY which connects to the data handling module.
