摘要： The invention relates to a timer device capable of performing one or more control actions in response to the time lapsed since a user initiated action took place. The timer device comprises contact means operatable between two conditions, timer means, and means for storing first and second time stamps. The device further comprises control means for setting a first time stamp in response to the contact means being operated between first and second conditions, setting a second time stamp in response to the contact means being operated between the second and first conditions, calculating the time elapsed between the two time stamps, comparing the elapsed time with a preset time value, and performing a control action if the elapsed time is greater than the preset time value.

摘要： A protection device of a drive mechanism of a clock is provided. The drive mechanism includes a driven member, and a driving member for driving the driven member. The protection device is mounted between the driving member and the driven member, and includes a first magnetic member mounted in the driven member, and a second magnetic member mounted in the driving member and attracted with the first magnetic member by a magnetic force, so that the driven member may be rotated by rotation of the driving member. Thus, when a resistance exerted on the driven member is greater than the magnetic force between the first magnetic member and the second magnetic member, the driving member idles, so as to protect the direct current small motor.

At least one movable ornament is mounted on the clock dial face and controlled by the at least one actuating device to generate dynamic motions based on the signals from the circuit board. The movable ornament is able to generate dynamic actions on the hour to enhance the decorative effects of the entire clock assembly.

It is thus possible to design the movement pattern of the ornamental body under the movement control, without consideration of the stop positions of the ornamental body at the end of the movement control period; thereby, allowing for a wide variety of appearances for the timepiece.
