摘要： A process cartridge includes a photosensitive drum, a gear attachable to an end of the photosensitive drum in a longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum, a shaft member capable of passing through an inside of the photosensitive drum and the gear so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum, and a frame having a pair of shaft supporting portions which supports both end portions of the shaft member at positions outside the photosensitive drum. One of the pair of shaft supporting portions functions as a gear-side supporting portion which is provided on a side where the gear is disposed. The gear includes a first insertion hole, into which the shaft member is inserted, and a projecting portion, which protrudes outward from a side, which is opposite to a side facing the end of the photosensitive drum, of the gear.

摘要： In a part connecting member made from synthetic resin, at least two molded pieces obtained by the injection molding of plastic are provisionally connected by being adjacently arranged or abut against each other. The provisionally connected body is set in a die different from the dies used for the formation of each molded piece. Then, in a state such that each molded piece and the die are positioned, the molded pieces are joined by the injection of a molten resin material for joining into a gap formed between the opposed surfaces of the molded pieces that are adjacently arranged or abut against each other. An injection channel of the molten resin up to the gap is formed by using one of the molded pieces forming the gap of the opposed surfaces that are adjacently arranged or abut against each other.

摘要： A cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a process member including a shaft acting on an image bearing member; a bearing member for supporting the process member; and a frame including a supporting portion for movably supporting the bearing member. The bearing member is movable, by moving the supporting portion, between a first position in which the process member acts on the image bearing member and a second position which is remote from the image bearing member more than the first position. The cartridge further includes an urging member for urging the bearing member from the second position toward the first position; a suppressing portion for suppressing dismounting of the bearing member, urged by the urging member, from the supporting portion; and a dismounting portion for permitting dismounting of the bearing member from the frame at the second position.
