摘要： Method and apparatus for checking tyres for vehicle wheels. A tyre to be checked is fed to a checking station. A sidewall of the tyre lies on a supporting portion of a rotating table. The supporting portion lies on a plane while the rotating table has a rotation axis perpendicular to the plane. A centring operation is carried out to align, in the plane, the rotation axis of the tyre with the rotation axis of the rotating table. The centring operation includes identification, in the plane, of the rotation axis of the tyre by: a) acquisition of an image of the tyre laid on the supporting portion of the rotating table; b) definition, in the acquired image, of a number of analysis directions intersecting at one selected central point; c) for each analysis direction: c1) definition, in the acquired image, of a number of potential axes of symmetry, perpendicular to the analysis direction; c2) calculation of a level of symmetry of the image with respect to each potential axis of symmetry, where the level of symmetry is indicative of the probability that the centre of the tyre is on the respective potential axis of symmetry; c3) determination of a probability distribution indicative of a variation of the level of symmetry along the analysis direction; d) determination of a centre of the tyre on the basis of a cumulative probability distribution obtained through a combination of the probability distributions calculated for the analysis directions; e) identification of the rotation axis of the tyre in an axis that passes through the determined centre and perpendicular to the plane.

摘要： A method and apparatus for detecting defects on tires in a tire production process. The method includes: receiving a reference image of a surface portion of a reference tire substantially defects-free; providing a sample tire to be analyzed; illuminating a surface portion of the sample tire with a raking light source; acquiring a sample image of the illuminated surface portion of the sample tire; extracting the edges from the reference image and from the sample image and respectively generating an edge reference image and an edge sample image; carrying out a dilation of the edges of the edge reference image and generating therefrom a dilated edge reference image; comparing the edge sample image with respect to the dilated edge reference image and generating an edge image of possible defects; and identifying the edges in the edge image of possible defects.

摘要： A device for rotating a tire includes a fixed support, a driving belt, a plurality of first pulleys, and at least one second pulley. The driving belt has a contact face for contacting an annular part of the tire, and the driving belt enables rotation of the tire. The first pulleys are mounted on the support and are in abutment with the driving belt on a side opposite to the contact face in order to press the contact face radially against the annular part of the tire. The at least one second pulley is in abutment with the contact face of the driving belt and is mounted for translational movement on the support in order to locally space the contact face apart from the annular part of the tire.

摘要： An inspection device for holding and turning a tire includes a centering structure which centers a first bead of the tire, a locking structure which locks the first bead in a centered position, a rotational driver which turns the tire about a tire axis, and at least one centering gripper module which interacts with a second bead of the tire. Each centering gripper module is provided with an internal spacing roller, an external holding roller, and a centering roller. The internal spacing roller is able to press axially against an internal face of the second bead. The external holding roller is able to bear axially against an external face of the second bead opposite the internal face. The centering roller is able to bear radially against the second bead and extends substantially axially. The internal spacing roller and the external holding roller extend substantially radially.

A portion of the vehicle support surface or cover plate is removable to permit access to underlying components.
