摘要： The rotary drum of reactivation apparatus has spaced-apart helical electrodes disposed in mutually interposed helical state and fixed to the inner wall surface of the drum, these electrodes functioning upon rotation of the drum to propel by screw action active carbon from an inlet end to the other outlet end of the drum as electric power is supplied to the electrodes to cause electric discharge therebetween and conduction through the carbon, which is thereby subjected sequentially to drying, firing, and reactivation as a result of electric discharge effect and the resulting joule heat. Flow of excessive current between the electrodes is prevented by a constant-current circuit in the electric power supply system. Steam can be additionally injected against the carbon to promote the reactivation thereof.

摘要： A method for removing one or more contaminations from a bulk material, the bulk material being fed into a treating chamber (1), exposed therein to a temperature treatment and then discharged. According to the invention, the bulk material is exposed to a vacuum treatment during temperature treatment. An apparatus according to the invention for the implementation of the method comprises a treating chamber (1) for treating contaminated bulk material therein, feeding means (2) for feeding the bulk material to the treating chamber (1), discharging means (9) for discharging the bulk material from the treating chamber and heating means (19) for heating the bulk material in the treating chamber. The apparatus also includes a vacuum forming means (16) for forming a vacuum in the treating chamber.

摘要： A method and apparatus for desorbtion is disclosed that utilizes enhancements to lessen the amount of entrained particles formed during desorbtion and for lowering the operating and capital costs associated with desorbtion equipment. Multiple stage desorbtion is contemplated using multiple drums, with smaller drums being employed for volatizing the waste components that require high temperatures. The method and apparatus may include an eductor scrubber attached directly or adjacent to the gas extraction port of a drum to prevent fouling of system apparatus. A plunger for cleaning the scrubber suction chamber is provided. The method and process may include injecting hot gas, which may be exhaust gas from a burner apparatus, into one or more desorption drums to lower heating costs.

A supplemental fuel stream may be introduced into the recycle dust stream to provide an additional flame to preheat the recycle dust stream before the recycle dust stream is directed into the kiln flame.

The cooling of the hot bulk material takes place by gasification of a fuel, particularly coal, with steam, the reaction enthalpy necessary for the gasification reaction being extracted from the hot bulk material. In this gasification a fuel gas is also produced which is used for firing the bulk material.
