摘要： The present invention relates to a method for preventing agglomeration while drying sticky particles in a fluid bed. The method comprises supplying sticky particles to an upper surface of a perforated conveyor and advancing said sticky particles through the fluid bed, supplying drying air flow substantially upwards through the perforated conveyor to the sticky particles on it. While drying the particles exposing them substantially, from above, to a pulsing air flow so that they are caused to move and to break up agglomerates of sticky particles. This is done while controlling drying and pulsing air flow, pulsation, and drying air temperature. The invention also relates to a fluid bed preventing agglomeration while drying sticky particles.

摘要： Process and apparatus for fluidized bed mixing of fluids and gases in which the fluid is injected with a high angular velocity through a relatively narrow, preferably single, orifice (3). The angular velocity may be imparted by injecting the fluid at high velocity tangentially at the periphery of the squate chamber (4) so that angular momentum is gained as it spirals inwards towards orifice (3). Optionally, an open-topped hopper (5) for solids is suspended above orifice (3). The lower end of the hopper (5) terminates in a second orifice (7) located vertically above orifice (3). The solid particles are thereby swept radially outwards towards the wall of the chamber (1) in co-current admixture with the fluid.

摘要： A system for drying and/or transporting particulate material, including fluidizing the material by means of pulsed air flow in jets which oscillate parallel to the path of motion of a bed of the material in an assymetric sweeping fashion which applies a net transporting force in one sense or direction, or by applying such pulsed flow so that the net force in either sense is zero, to cause drying without transport. The system utilizes phase locked acoustic oscillators to provide sweeping jets of fluid moving in opposite directions for drying and in the same direction for transporting the particulate material. The fluid oscillators are fabricated from 2 groups of molded or extruded members with the members of each group being identical. Spacers are employed to position the parts whereby to provide the desired oscillator configuration.

The particles form a semi-fixed bed within the passage upstream from the venturi orifice. The particular dimensions of the semi-fixed bed are dependent, in part, upon the orifice size of the venturi. An iris valve defining the orifice permits adjustment of the cross-sectional area of the orifice thereby controls the velocity of the gas stream through the venturi.

摘要： The present invention relates to a fluidized bed apparatus and a method for particle-coating or granulating, the fluidized bed apparatus includes a swirl generator which is mounted on a sprayer body in the fluidized bed apparatus and extends throughout an air distribution plate and is connected to a source of compressed air. The swirl generator comprises a tubular sleeve extending circumferentially around the sprayer body, and an air chamber is defined between the sleeve and the sprayer body, wherein the sleeve comprises a plurality of guiding slots. The air from the source of compressed air via the air chamber is directed by said guiding slots to rotate outwardly, so as to provide a swirling air stream circumferentially outwardly relative to the sprayer. The present invention can facilitate the development of the spray pattern and the particle flow pattern and allows the particles to spin respectively due to slight friction with the inner wall of the partition, thereby opportunities for the particles to obtain a more uniform spray when subsequently passing through the spray zone above the nozzle are increased, so that performance of the fluidized bed apparatus is improved.

Also provided is a method for granulating, agglomerating, pelletising, drying and/or coating using such a device and a base suitable for use as a distributor plate in a convective drying apparatus.
