摘要： Air separation method in which air is separated within cryogenic rectification processes conducted in first and second cryogenic air separation plants. The first cryogenic air separation plant is designed to produce an oxygen-rich product stream and the second cryogenic air separation plant is designed to produce an impure oxygen vapor stream. At least part of the impure oxygen vapor stream is introduced into a lower pressure column of the first cryogenic air separation plant and oxygen contained in such stream along with air separated within the first air separation plant is used in producing the oxygen-rich product stream.

The output numerical value of differential production is added to the current production rate of the plants to obtain a new production rate which is applied during the forecast period.

This nitrogen is sent to the base of a distillation column (11) provided with a head condenser (23). Ultra-pure nitrogen is withdrawn as a product from the head of the column, and during periods of no production of nitrogen of medium purity and during periods in which the demand for ultra-pure nitrogen exceeds this production, there is sent to the base of the column gaseous reserve nitrogen of medium purity obtained from the liquid nitrogen of the reservoir and there is sent into the head condenser a relatively large flow of liquid nitrogen from this reservoir.

摘要： An apparatus for producing high purity oxygen and nitrogen in the liquid and gaseous phases. The apparatus is a modular, mobile system employing a low design operating pressure. The system purifies ambient air through filters and a dual immobilized fixed bed molecular sieve type pressure swing adsorber prior to the cryogenic distillation of the air. Through the incorporation of the pressure swing adsorber having a high frequency regeneration cycle, the disclosed system provides a reduced system size. The configured system employs waste gas from the distillation process to purge the pressure swing adsorber. The cryogenic distillation procedure includes a heat exchanger, a turboexpander, high and low pressure distillation columns, a subcooler and a condenser.
