    • A lampshade is provided with a longitudinal slit to receive a lampshade cover. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the lampshade includes an external surface and an internal surface. At least one fastener is affixed to an internal surface of the lampshade. The lampshade also includes at least one longitudinal slit on its outer surface. The longitudinal slit is configured to receive both ends of at least one lampshade cover. The lampshade cover includes decoration on an external surface. At least one fastener is affixed to an internal surface of the cover. A further embodiment of the present invention utilizes a method of applying a lampshade cover to a lampshade.

    • Implementations of the present invention comprise lighting fixture assemblies that minimize the visibility of hardware and shadows. In particular, the lighting fixture assemblies may include no supporting hardware extending through an internal space defined, in whole or in part, by the lighting fixture assembly. In addition, the lighting fixture assemblies may include a gap between a bottom/top panel and a side panel of the lighting fixture assembly. Accordingly, lighting fixture assemblies of one or more implementations of the present invention can reduce or eliminate the visibility of internal supporting hardware and shadows on the exterior surfaces of the lighting fixture assemblies.

    • A lamp shade includes first and second interlocking shade sections. Each of the first and second interlocking shade sections is made of a plastic material and has a different color than the other section. The lamp shade also includes a bulb socket supported by the first interlocking shade section and at least partially surrounded by a plurality of ventilation holes. One of the first and second interlocking shade sections has an annular recess and a set of spaced fingers within the annular recess. The other of the first and second interlocking shade sections has a radially inwardly directed annular flange. The annular flange including a set of slots sufficient in number and sized so as to receive the fingers, whereby the fingers are received in and rotatable relative to the slots to interlock the first and second interlocking shade sections.

    • A method and a combination for assembling of an illuminator and a decorative cover made of polyhedron structure, imprinted with design motifs and/or used in restaurants and other service institutions for decoration and for commercial presentations including menus and listed service.The polyhedron cover is an incomplete structure short of at least one geometric surface or is truncated having attachment flaps around the missing or the truncated geometric surface for attachment to an illuminator base.The illuminator base includes slots to enclose the flaps, locks to attach the flaps and a rotating actuator that is used as a rotating base for the illuminator to enable the rotation of the cover around a stand or a support to review the imprinted motifs or menus around the cover.The base further includes at least one switching device and the actuator includes activator for said switching device and the illuminator is actuated by rotating and pushing or pulling the cover.
