    • A system and method for loading liquid gases into a container includes supplying substance to a pump simultaneously with the evacuation of the container for cooling the pump down during evacuation and starting the pump motor when the pump has reached a low temperature determined in accordance with the pressure of the substance storage tank. An analyzer for detecting the presence of contaminants is coupled to the evacuation line in fluid communication with the substance removed from the cylinders. Cavitation during the loading operation is detected by monitoring the flow of substance from the pump. A plurality of containers of differing sizes are loaded simultaneously on the same manifold. An isolation valve is provided in the manifold for terminating flow of substance to smaller containers when the smaller containers are full while permitting substance to continue to flow to larger containers coupled to the manifold.

    • A device intended to feed a gaseous high-pressure fluid to a platform supported on a frame on which is located a pressure source, said device comprising a rotating joint unit including two fluid conduct members mounted in relative rotational relationship to said platform along the geometrical axis around which said platform is rotating, one of said members being connected to fittings usable for feeding said fluid and located on said platform. The other member is intended to feed said pressure source, the fluid conduct member which is intended, in the joint unit, to be connected to said pressure source is connected to the latter by a releasable connecting member. The coupling of said member depends on the fluid feeding required by the user or by said fitting usable for the fluid feeding and mounted on said platform.

    • A plurality of pressure vessels are filled with acetylene gas by an apparatus which has a gas delivery conduit with a plurality of delivery connections. A drive mechanism moves pressure vessel supports from a loading station to locations where each pressure vessel is located at and conducted to a respective gas delivery connection. The gas delivery conduit is stationary, but its mountings permit horizontal movement to avoid damage to the apparatus if the supports are accidentally moved when the pressure vessels are attached to the delivery connections. When the gas delivery conduit is displaced more than a certain amount from its normal stationary position, power to the drive mechanism is automatically cut off. The supports for the pressure vessels are oriented to house the pressure vessels at an inclination which maintains them steady. The disclosed drive mechanism has two pneumatic cylinders for driving the supports along a slide of a fixed structure.
